Chicken, dont listen to him. That phone hes recommending is a seven year old obsolete model Samsung Galaxy Appeal I827 GSM 3G that will not even work with 4G or LTE networks, it has only a 320x480 pixel 3.2 inch screen that is smaller than the 2007 original iphones 3.5 screen. . . and comes with 4GB of memory and a pathetic processor. Thats less memory than even that original iphones 5GB in an era when modern phones are pushing 256GB and even 512GB. It comes with Android OS, v2.3 (Gingerbread) . . . and I doubt that could handle todays standard internet browsing protocols and I sincerely doubt it could be updated.
Sharin, you are wrong about Apple spying on you. Reading your post, I see your problem is that you have GOOGLE in everything you are doing and THEY are the spy. I too used to have things pop up on my computer about what I was talking about. . . But no more. I banished everything Google from all my Apple devices, even their pop up ads with an ad blocker. Voilá. Peace. With Apple you are their customer, not their product!
Do what I did long ago; get rid of Google!
What you said about the carriers is true. So be careful.
There is a world of difference to the government using a search warrant to get call information from a service provider and a hacker getting in and finding specific call data among billions of calls. You really dont know what youre talking about. You seem to be equating monitoring with a hacker breaking into the cellular networks. It aint the way it works. . . This aint Hollywood. Such set-up is done internally at the carrier and there are safeguards built in. The government cant just tap in when it wants. The carrier must set it up for each tap.
LOL! That’s really funny. Thanks a bunch.
“Anyone that thinks they have privacy on a cellphone, particularly a smartphone, is kidding themselves.”
I read the fine print on the Twitter app and Google apps and both state that they by installing I have agreed to allow them to use my camera and audio without my permission or knowledge, read my contacts, texts, share data with third parties, etc.
Thank you.
Although coming from an LG ENV3 everything is an upgrade...
If you are worried about data privacy, and minimizing the risk anyone will exploit or break into your phone to steal your info, I wouldn't use anything except an iPhone. Apple doesn't base their business model on selling people's data, and they are *very* serious about making their phones as unhackable as possible. Plus they don't let carriers or other entities install *anything* on their phones.
It is worth noting that there are great custom OSes that can run on Android phones but they typically require a very high level of expertise to install and maintain.
I don’t know
You can probably get a better price as Walmart or Target.
I bought down on ebay. I have an I phone 5S and recenty bought my wife an I Phone 6 for $179 and the ATT service is $25 for me and $45 for her.
Don’t ask me I have a flip phone.
Yes I think the sacrifice in privacy is worth the Apple Watch features, particularly for people when they get to be that age where things start going a little sideways health wise.
There is no such thing as privacy.
Yes I do know that. My house view has about a 1 Year lag for example. But I can still see which of my fences need repairing, and if I had cows I could easily count them. :) The free consumer Google Earth type imaging probably is not even comparable in time since image was taken or features to what is available to certain organizations or people, but Im only guessing.

I can use google earth and count your cows, tell when its time for you to put in a new fence, estimate the number of tomatoes you get every year and much more.
You know the aerial photos are not real-time, right?
Thanks, I will look into that and give it a shot.

I guess I know that.
Sad.
You should always just assume it. You should also assume you are a very small fish in a very big pond and chances are that no one cares what you do.
My sister posts videos of her driving around which is a clear traffic violation and nothing ever happens to her.
