I'm surprised Fath Properties rented to him in the first place. He's got one of them there furrin names.
Can they be sued for discrimination against poor people?
From the contract: “...If the cars were disabled, heavily dented, rusted, unsightly...”
A dent is not “heavily dented”.

And ‘Fath’ is not?
he got a notice on his car recently saying the company that owns the apartment complex he lives in, Fath Properties, planned to tow it.
= = =
How about using those Texan self defense laws?
They tried to take my car, so I shot them.
And to stretch this a little more - - -
He left a smeared, dead butterfly on his windshield, which degraded the value of every life in the universe, so crucify him!
But at Sukhavachanas complex, the fix your car or get towed rule...

I’d go with them fixing my car.
Looks like an easy fix, to get it looking “good enough.” Just rub out the stains/scratches, and then use a plunger to pull out the dents. Good enough.
From the contract: ...If the cars were disabled, heavily dented, rusted, unsightly...
...
The article says that’s from the website, not the contract.
He voluntarily signed and read the contract.
Whether one agrees or disagrees that this as a policy is immaterial.
It was something in their contracts, all people living there signed the agreements, its a policy they have had a very long time, so its not anything newly created to discriminate against anyone there now.
You don’t like a contract term, you either get it crossed out, or amended, or you don’t sign the contract.
He needs to take this to court and let the judge decide. Meanwhile, he had better park on the street and makes sure he moves the car every day.
Maybe that ‘dent’ is ‘Custom Body Work’, like Big Daddy Ed Roth used to do. As such, it is priceless.
Or is it a Rat Rod, the newest automobile fad?, thus on the leading edge of evolving car development.

I'd go with moving the hell away from that place.

The car does look bad, but so does the parking lot. It needs a top coat.
I doubt it. From the tone of the article, I get that the tennant is late on rent payments. The complex is looking for a reason, any reason, to get rid of him.
Based on the information at hand, his car is not in breach of the contract. If he objects based on his assertion that his car is compliant, then they cant tow his car without risking a major lawsuit. If they tow it, they might regret it. They would need a court order to tow it. They would probably never get it since vague terms like heavily dented would be construed in favor of the tenant.
Unless a person’s name is similar to Stands With a Fist or Wind in His Hair, they’re a furriner.
FTA....
He also claimed the company is not very motivated to repair things or make the apartment look good, but wants residents to keep their cars free of damage. Certain Yelp reviews found by CBS 11 supported that statement.

I don’t doubt for a minute there are many things the complex could and should fix. Yet they target this poor guy with a minor dent?
Agreed. He signed it. Now suck it up and get the car fixed...or learn some basic auto body techniques. It’s not rocket surgery.
"...good enough..."
That’ll buff right out!..................
