One person is dead and three others are injured after they were shot by a resident of an Arizona home they were trying to burglarize, police said.
The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call at approximately 1:38 a.m. Thursday and discovered that four individuals were shot after breaking into a home.
According to a news release, Edith Guerrero, 36, Jaden James, 18, Leonardo Gonzalez, 27, and Jessica Aynes, 28, woke the sleeping occupants as they entered.

True, but more and more, I'm seeing stories of forced break-ins by groups of armed thugs.
As criminals change tactics, potential targets must up their defensive strategies.
Look at the Colt Gatling gun imagine it on a stand by your bed, or in the picture window with the curtains open on a bright shiny day.

Thank God I'm in the gun friendly state of Texas. I'd go nuts living with those kinds of restrictions on my natural right to keep and bear arms.
It doesn't have to stay that way in your state, but it takes work on the part of the citizenry to TAKE back their rights.
It’s going to take a lot of work. But I think those of us who are inclined to freedom will persist.
There ya go. Nothing will change unless you and your fellow Coloradans demand it. Constant pressure from citizens and gun rights groups have successfully improved gun laws all over the country.

It's not that they didn't commit the crimes. However, the police and DA were MUCH more hesitant to arrest and convict. They referred to the blind eye toward women as "street justice". A benefit of more advanced equality of opportunity...
Makes me rethink both of my “near at hand” bedroom tools: Ruger LCR 38* and Mossberg Maverick in 12 gauge. I think I’ll switch things around to put a 15 round Glock at hand.
I dunno, with burglars in the house you might be surprised by what a shot of adrenaline you get.
That is because with the advent of ubiquitous cameras it is no longer tenable for the cops to write those things off - they will show up on YouTube and then there the department is with it’s pants down having never logged the incident.
Crime didn’t change, rather, the reporting procedures changed.
The video says that 2 were deceased and that they are looking for a vehicle, indicating possibly a wheelman that got away.
The three injured were allowed to live so they can spread the word not to mess with this house ever...........
