Interesting how Lindsey appears to leave Trump high and dry.

I think Lindseed is trying to keep Trump from caving which he will likely do in the next couple of weeks.

I gotta agree. It would be like bush sr caving in on his “read my lips, no new taxes” pledge. We wound up with 8 years of bill clinton because of that.

Graham is right - Trump cannot give in on this, or he's one and done.

Why do you think Trump will cave?

That’s what I think too, unfortunately.
Ann Coulter is also sounding the alarm now, vs De facto.
There is still a good chance that Trump will decide to fund it by any means necessary and just keep going.
FDR got his Social Security, even though many conservatives of that time opposed it. Well, now the shoe is on the other foot. Keep pushing it through, Mr. Trump. Most of us support it very strongly.

It’s kind of like what happened to the rule of law and “lock her up”, if the POTUS caves on the wall what is left? Those are two major items he was supposed to do. Face it folks, if there was truly a need for a wall in terms of National Security then President Trump should have declared that a long time ago and put the Army Corp of Engineers in charge to get it done.

I think you are simplifying things a bit. If Trump did that, the republican party would not support him. No support = no protection from impeachment.

I thought the president said he would get the funding through the military. I am perplexed as to why he just doesn’t save himself all this grief and do it. If he can’t get the money through the military, then I really wish he hadn’t said that. If he CAN get the money through the military, I’m kind of hoping that he already has that secured and is forging ahead with the wall building, using the battle for funding as a cover.

Just shut the f*ck up Lady Lindsay and let our President get on with the job.
How does this ridiculous drama queen comment advance the cause of the patriotic American ?
Ill trust Trumps judgement and mastery of strategy ahead of a guy who polled at 0% in the 2016primaries and then backed Jeb !

Trump has every reason not to cave : the safety of the country, keeping out illegal drugs, cartel gang members, human traffickers etc.
Politically, it's not even close. As far as his reelection is concerned, the best thing he can do is never cave in to Pelosi on border wall funding, no matter how long the shutdown goes om. The worst thing he can do politically is cave in to deranged creature like Pelosi on the border wall funding. He is going to find it extremely hard to win in 2020 if he caves in.
To: WashingtonFire
Graham is not the only one saying that and Trump knows it himself.
You’re being the drama queen.
