Poor guy.
He didn’t “lose” 5 million. He simply didn’t earn it.
More sports contracts should be set up like this.
Instead of attacking Brady,
Let’s look at his contract as a way that the team could work around Tom, to try and afford other players.
I don’t think he’s crying over the money not awarded to him.
He still made $15 mill.
He knows his career is winding down.
He’s had an incredibly long run.
18 years.
He’s got many accomplishments to be proud of.
I’m surprised that all those top athletes don’t have performance clauses in their contracts.
New York media trashing Boston sports. Same old, same old.
Brady has long agreed to be underpaid so management can get better players. A down year means more money for some other players. That’s why he’s got 8 Superbowl appearances.
The media despises Brady almost as much as they despise Trump.
I had heard Brady has been paid “off the books” in a very creative way to allow the Patriots to keep him, and pay the large amounts he deserves (deserved?) while still allowing cap room for other key players. Any Patriots fans out there who can enlighten?
Others in the AFC East are praying for the day he leaves.
Didn’t Pete Rose get in trouble for betting on himself?
Why can’t someone bet on their own team or themselves to win?
I can understand betting on your team to lose being illegal but the other direction should be just fine.
Or si the Tom Brady article just pure hyperbole? (sarc)
First time I ever heard of a player having these performance bonuses was Warren Moon.
Aaron Rodgers, on the other hand, always among the top two or three in salaries, but has won only one Super Bowl (and his girlfriend won't even let him drive on dates).
lol...that’s kind of like saying Tom only got 11 scoops of ice cream instead of 10. He’s got everything he needs.
I thought that was Brady I saw selling pencils on the street corner the other day. Poor guy.
He didnt lose 5 million. He just didnt gain it.
