Pres. Trump Needs Money For the WALL. WELL...

Well here are a few money sources.

America’s top 15 largest banks In the years since the financial crisis, the nation’s biggest banks have grown substantially. All in all, the top 15 largest banks now hold a combined total of $13.2 trillion in assets.

For a sense of the vast scale of that wealth, $13.2 trillion is enough to buy every one of the 7.6 billion human beings on Earth a 13-inch MacBook Pro, with a little left over for accessories.

Of course, every year there are changes in this exclusive club. Larger banks trade places with one another, and smaller banks drop out, replaced by faster-growing rivals.

This year, you need at least $201.3 billion in assets to join the club, a sum so large that, if converted into $100 bills laid end to end, would reach the moon (with several thousand miles left over to check out the view).

Here are the 15 largest banks in the U.S. by assets, according to the latest numbers from S&P Global Market Intelligence, a financial industry research firm.

Rank Bank name Total assets 1 JPMorgan Chase & Co. $2.53 trillion 2 Bank of America Corp. $2.28 trillion 3 Wells Fargo & Co. $1.95 trillion 4 Citigroup Inc. $1.84 trillion 5 Goldman Sachs Group Inc. $917 billion 6 Morgan Stanley $851.86 billion 7 U.S. Bancorp $462.04 billion 8 TD Group US Holdings LLC $380.91 billion 9 PNC Financial Services Group Inc$380.77 billion 10 Bank of New York Mellon Corp. $371.76 billion 11 Capital One Financial Corp. $365.69 billion 12 State Street Corp. $238.42 billion 13 BB&T Corp. $221.64 billion 14 SunTrust Banks Inc. $205.96 billion 15 HSBC USA Inc. $201.30 billion

If he doesn’t get it out of this shutdown, when does he - his last year?

Possibly.

As far as taking the senate on; all the arm twisting in the world was not going to change the votes of McCain, Flake and several other lowlife scumbags.

He’s not doing it with an EO b/c it would be immediately tied up in the courts. If it comes from Congress, that won’t be an issue. He may have to resort to EOs but my guess is he is trying to avoid that route if possible.

Thanks edie1960 you made my day. I made this post on Free Republic 12/11/18.....

Need $$$ to build the wall...Well here is a way

During WW II the government issued War Bonds to help fund the war effort. President Trump needs money to build a border wall. What would be required for the government and treasury to issue WALL Bonds? I’m sure if Wall Bonds were issued the funds for the wall would be rapidly met. If you think this plan would work, please notify the White House and President Trump

They're more likely to be bought than House Democrats. Point is you have to force them to bargain. After a few weeks (or if need be months) they'd cave for something they wanted in exchange - I guarantee it. He failed to press and it was a mistake.

Now he has to give something to Pelosi to get what he wants, what is worse?

That makes no sense. During the last two years McCain was a senator and Romney was not.

How about a 100% tax on the incomes of people that vote Democrat?

If as their leaders say people don’t really mind higher taxes it shouldn’t be a problem at all.

“He’s not doing it with an EO b/c it would be immediately tied up in the courts. “

I wasn’t aware the courts ran the executive branch.

I’m trying to figure out if President Trump can direct money to be used via Executive Order or National Emergency. All I am finding it that he would have to invoke specific provision of federal law (I don’t know if there’s a list of those provisions) and Congress can terminate it with a joint resolution.

Since the House has the power of the purse, wouldn’t they just throttle any EO by denying funding?

Any Constitutional scholars here?

Sorry, I misread. I thought you meant going forward.

Anyway, Romney is looking to take up McCain’s contrarian mantle it looks like.

“There weren’t enough votes in the Senate for it.”

There would be if The Turdle would change the rules. Senate “rules” are not a Constitutional requirement.

Even if he changed the rules there are to many RINOS to even have 51 votes, I don’t think he will have 51 votes with the NEW RINO senate!!! These RINO senators are to beholden to their BIG DONOR open border cohorts to care about the American people OR the country completely becoming a country we no longer recognize!!!

Obviously the courts do not run the executive branch but if you were paying attention during all the travel ban stuff, you saw that judges all over the country were issuing rulings and “stays” of the EO. That is what would happen with an EO to fund the wall. A liberal judge would immediately declare it unconstitutional.
