I think some of the others have held up better with the change of time than #1 has.

I will fully admit I found Airplane, Animal House, and the various other National Lampoon and Monty Python films to be side splitting hilarious in their day and age. Yet as I have grown older, I have come to appreciate a subtle comedy over the pie in the face variety.

Caddyshack, Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad World, Coming to America, Austin Powers and the Spy Who Shagged Me, Porky’s, First three Vacation Movies and Planes, Trains and Automobiles are some of my favorites.

I think Strangelove is really too dark to be considered a straight-up comedy. They should separate comedies from satires/black comedy.
