I’m thinking that this current kerfluffel is actually kabuki theater-designed to show the people exactly who the DEMS are and how they don’t want to stop illegal immigration or protect American Citizens, as well as just being sheer obstructionists.
The wall is already funded in the military budget as was pointed out in the “castle” Q posts, and as we researched and decided that was likely the plan.
So DJT has no reason to cave, and even if the bill dies, then Pelosi will be responsible to put something together, and continue showing her true colors, in order to get the Government open again.
Don’t forget that most of the budget has already been appropriated for the full year through to the fall of 2019. POTUS can keep the Government partially shut down for months if he wants.

I think you are right; however, the Dem Party is becoming an enemy of our Constitutional Republic and they appear to be growing stronger. This new House is going to be a political nightmare for the next two years. If they are not soon held accountable for all their treason, sedition and other crimes it may become too late to find someone to hold them accountable.

Yes, the Repubs set it up that way. Not so good though in that DHS is one of the unpaid agencies - ICE and border control. May have to turn it over to the military. Honestly I think DJT should consider having the military build the wall {or mine the border!} and challenge the Congress to impeach him. The Congress is the real Snydely Whiplash in this drama; they set it up to turn out this way thinking that they could force Trump to cave in with holiday pressure... they even adjourned and went home thinking Trump was finished.
If only we could impeach the Congress!
