Many thanks for the new thread and the updated Questions. Always excited to see what each new day will bring.
Thanks for the new thread and the ping that goes with it.
I am also thankful for your “Attention Prayer Warriors” and the importance you put in the power of prayer. Our God and Creator is “aware of prayer.” I have a cousin, Roger, who has now had 3 operations on his back and is still leaking spinal fluid. A serious condition and prayers for him would be welcome.
Thanks again.
Implies that slanted judges STARTED with Trump, rather than Trump readjusting a slanted bench

Why We Should Worry About the Cult of RBG
The new Ruth Bader Ginsburg biopic will galvanize her fans. They should consider whether that makes them part of the problem.
By PETER CANELLOS
FTA:
Theres a third element to the politicization of the courts, though. Thats the visceral sense of approval and validation that judges get when they please their fans. The 60,000-member Federalist Society provides conservative judges with a Greek chorus of admirers. And many members of the Supreme Court, such as the late Antonin Scalia, couldnt resist taking bows before conservative audiences for court rulings that devastated liberals.
Anyone who was discomfited by the notion of ideologically supercharged young conservatives praising Scalia for creating a new individual right to bear arms should probably think twice before donning their RBG T-shirts at the next abortion-rights marchor bursting into applause at her next triumphant cinematic moment. These efforts to show popular support and approval for a heroic liberal judge might feel energizing for progressives, but they also remove any sense of stigma or impropriety from conservatives’ far more effective efforts to provide a support network for “their kind” of justicesa movement so aggressive it handed Trump a list of approved high-court nominees before he was even elected president.

Have the Democrats finally realized that we desperately need Border Security and a Wall on the Southern Border. Need to stop Drugs, Human Trafficking,Gang Members & Criminals from coming into our Country. Do the Dems realize that most of the people not getting paid are Democrats?— Donald J. EXCERPT
The father of an 8-year-old Guatemalan migrant declined additional medical treatment for his son just hours before the child died, according to the Department of Homeland Security. The boy, Felipe Gomez Alonzo, was being held in U.S. Customs and Border Protection custody with his father after entering the country illegally. He died on Christmas Eve on the way to the hospital, after having been treated at the hospital earlier in the day.
How did this happen? Alonzo was first taken to the hospital Monday and diagnosed with a cold. He also had a fever. He was given medication and discharged.
Later in the day, he complained of nausea and vomited. Alonzo's father told officials that, despite the vomiting, he believed his son was feeling better and said he didn't need anymore medical attention at the time, The Daily Caller reported.
Officials checked in on the boy again later, and noticed that he had gotten worse. They took him back to the hospital, but Alonzo lost consciousness during the trip and died late Monday night.

When I heard they had taken him to the hospital and he was released I thought what else were they supposed to do? It’s not like he was denied medical treatment. Who knows what he had? Is it contagious? They ask in the ER if you have traveled out of the country..what might be coming into the country? Ellis Island didn’t let sick people in. Lots of thoughts on this one.

Never Trumpers Wish for Economic Crash to Take Out POTUS
Never Trumper John Podhoretz, a contributing editor for the now-defunct Never Trump magazine the Weekly Standard, tweeted on Wednesday that he wondered whether the U.S. economy tanking would lead to President Donald Trump losing enough support from Republicans in Congress that he would be removed from office.

Trump: Most of the people not getting paid in shutdown are Democrats
President Trump early Thursday resumed his feud with Democrats on Capitol Hill over funding for a border wall, claiming that most of the hundreds of thousands of federal employees furloughed or forced to work without pay due to a partial government shutdown are Democrats.
"Have the Democrats finally realized that we desperately need Border Security and a Wall on the Southern Border. Need to stop Drugs, Human Trafficking, Gang Members & Criminals from coming into our Country," he tweeted. "Do the Dems realize that most of the people not getting paid are Democrats?" he added.
The president did not provide an explanation for his claim.
