Strangely, not as much as I thought I would. I miss being able to hike right outside my back door without seeing another person for miles and miles. But that’s about it. I don’t miss shoveling snow! Bunch of liberals took over the water and snow board up there the last few years, and I got disgusted with how apathetic the community was. They didn’t even care about all the rate increases and the wasting of the money. So it was good to leave.

I would say the Appalachians are just as pretty, in a different way. And I like the people here much better :-) most of them.

I suppose these were developed early on for the mountain passes.
We had a cabin in the Sierra’s at 7200 before escaping Mexifornia.
Snowfall between 25-30 feet before the drought years. Then down to 15’. But, no railroads around ;(
