Weak 16: Fans Still Missing AS NFL Season Nears Its End
Breitbart ^ | 23 Dec, 2018 | Warner Todd Huston

Posted on 12/23/2018 8:13:06 PM PST by MtnClimber

The NFL’s Week 16 did not look very good for a number of teams hoping to pull fans into stadiums as the season wears down. This week’s empty seats started on Saturday when the Washington Redskins visited the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium...

“TV contract. Stadiums have less people, but the NFL is making more money from TV revenue. Maybe even with less TV viewers.”

This will not last.

You can say that again ... It certainly will not last. Concussionball is going to be like boxing in a decade or two ... Kids aren’t playing it as much as they used to ... Some schools are fielding 8 or 10 player teams due to the lack of interest (that was unheard of 20 years ago here in SW PA). Other school districts have taken a lot of criticism blowing millions of dollars on football fields since, you know, we’ve fixed all of our education and property tax problems.

What pisses me off to no end are the billions of dollars these idiotic sports franchises have stolen from taxpayers. I used to enjoy baseball, but I don’t even want to set foot in PNC Park anymore thanks to the scumbags, piece of trash welfare recipient owner and his disgusting colleagues.

Football is on a level of scum yet to be defined seeing that their frigging playgrounds are used 10 to 20 times a year at most and the league is swimming in enough loot to build a team a new playground each year out of their own pockets. To top things off, their pile of trash commissioner just got a salary equal to what the Steelers requested for Heinz Field.

May they all burn in hell. Every frigging one of them ... Degenerate thieves.

What’s football? Missed another lousy season of overpaid, superego 9th graders and their Crusades against Whatever.

The good news is that Comrade Kraperhead is still unemployed.

Question. Does anyone know what documented source of the photo of Crapperhead earing a Che t-shirt? I want to know if it is real or photoshopped.

Thanks in advance.

Is the NFL attracting millennial fans? I wouldn’t think so, at least not in the numbers they need.

I agree that it's ridiculous the amount of ‘welfare’ teams get from cities/taxpayers to fund their enterprise. Should not happen. It's also interesting to me that the US DOJ was centrally involved in exposing the corruption in world soccer (FIFA), but ignores the crap that is happening in the US.

I also agree that because of helmets and the false sense of security football gear gives players, concussions have become a huge problem - and will likely sink the sport. I used to box, and now think the sport is crazy - considering what can happen to your brain. I think the same of football. It's not about being ‘too soft’ etc, which some on this board might say. Everyone’s brain is soft, and vulnerable, and when it gets slammed around inside your skull it's not good for you.

The current TV contract lasts for four more years. A lot can happen in that time for the NFL regarding revenue: good and bad. Most here predict (or want!) the NFL to collapse financially. We’ll see.

I think no performers want to sing with who they chose to headline the Superbowl, to be fair.

Officiating at Saint vs Steelers was so bad, I think I’m done for the season, and so are they. The NFL has stopped playing football. I don’t recognize the game anymore.

What can happen in the next 4 years? Viewership goes down. Advertising revenue down with it. Guess then a renegotiation perhaps? Players say no. Then there’s bankruptcy. I don’t think it will come to that.

Why would NFL leadership allow massive risks to its entire enterprise?:
* A handful of racist or stupid players to disrespect the Anthem, driving away millions of fans and dollars
* Ludicrous Pass Interference subjective rules and ref calls to constantly sway the games, opening the door to the gamblers’ or the networks’ malfeasance

I’m confused.

Doesn’t NFL mean National Football League?

Which nation do they stand for?

Ditto on that. No NFL for 2 years and I don’t miss it a bit.

“Happy Kwanza”?! A meaningless nothing burger of a “holiday”. Happy Sunday would have more meaning.

Exactly. I heard Gutfeld months ago saying the group was no good. Greg is pretty up to date on current music bands.

The person or group responsible for booking the SB half time show should be fired. I think this one is going to rival that one with Beyonce as being horrible.

SO TRUE! I felt that the officials were biased against the Steelers with a lot of their penalties, when slo-mo replay showed no interference, holding, etc.

Decades ago it became obvious to me that college and pro basketball officials were biased for/against certain teams or players. I haven’t watched BB for about 20 years.

A tuneup won’t fix the NFL, and probably not even an overhaul.

A good start would be to fire that $ 40 mil a year asshole who is supposed to be managing the league. Managing, my ass.

This may be the last comment I make about the NFL/BLM thug league. I stopped watching 3 years ago; and now I care so little about them it is even hard to muster up a comment except: I hope they go belly up soon; and XFL is coming.
