I was involved with L1 and L2 students and recall when law review positions were dependent on grade and writing sample.
I am appalled at the rules Harvard and other law schools have put forth.
If one looks at the requirement closely it looks like about 20 of them are chosen as a result of talent and knowledge. That is the core of the law review and they have to be browbeaten by the less able who are there for window-dressing and political correctness.
Sort of reminds me of when I went back to grad school and many of the courses were taught with the classes broken down into groups and the group getting the grade. One person carried the group, or two at the most and the rest just rode on their tails.
I saw this continue in the public and some private schools when my homeschooled children took courses locally.
Lazy way of teaching and guarantees that the inept pass the courses. Makes success rate data look better than the reality.
Hes absolutely perfect for Harvard. Harvard doesnt fail people so he will have no problems there. He will create anti gun and anti Trump clubs and will be regarded as a hero by the extremely liberal Harvard faculty.
Thats Harvard for you.
After he graduates he will have a job waiting for him in the office of some extreme leftist politician.
Thanks, GraceG!
When Harvard sent my daughter not only an application but an entire booklet of materials soliciting her to attend I told her she could send back the application if she wanted but I would not pay the application fee, help her get there for interviews nor pay a penny of her tuition if she chose to go there. The application was never returned......
