Have you seen the design for the Bollard Fence Design (steel slat picket-fence) that DJT has been talking up this week ? What do you think of it ? How penetrable ?
The design features a see through capability, which has plusses and minuses. Steel like spikes crown each picket. Costs would be considerably less. Construction time minimized. Trump calls it beautiful. It certainly is more appealing than a concrete wall.
Your thoughts please
Wont work without being under 24 x 7 365 days guard.
Neither will concrete
Armed drones to watch or electrified maybe then
Border patrol requested
you can do patrolling easily with drones. It’s a perfect job for them. With GPS technology, trouble locations can be sent instantly to nearest land base.
only small quantities of contraband, I would think.
I detest it. Some folks say its good because our border control can see whats on the other side. But, unfortunately, the invaders on the other side can also see through the fence and determine WHEN THE COAST IS CLEAR for them to climb over. And, at any given time, much of our huge border has a coast is clear situation.
A TALL & SOLID wall would be far, far more effective.
I like the steel slat fence as long as that steel is hardened to the point it would be very hard to pry apart.the slats would have to be close enough so that children or anyone else for that matter could slip through.
Make it 30 plus feet tall and put razor wire on top.if its built like that I’d be very happy.
A steel slat fence would be many times better than the border barrier we presently have.
You want a horizontal slat to hook up on?
I would like something that could be seen by Canada.
Beats the heck out of a dilapidated 4 string barb wire fence.
I like that one. It won’t be so prone to wind damage. Just sink those posts DEEP!
Plug it in and I’m game!
Don’t need a fence if nothing is given to illegal’s who enter our country. Nothing. But of course liberals will demand this and that; ever notice there are no liberal charity organizations?
Not a slat... more of a partial barrel style... something a grappling hook can’t grab. Oh, yeah... don’t forget to grease the snot out of the vertical portions.
The slats were the preferred fence of the Border Patrol. It
offered the see thru which they preferred.
I like how you can stick a gun barrel through it, thats about it.
If the slats are a problem steel plates can be welded on in no time at all.
Problem areas become almost impenetrable in hours or a few days, depending on the issue at hand.
.
Would like to see a field test. There is a video posted on the internet of a tall bollard design that looked impressive, but then showed illegals climbing up it with ease, much like climbing a palm tree.
It's beatable, but not by many. It would drop crossers to a trickle.
WHY is he not pursuing those things?
I think bad guys can shoot border agents through it, and that an activist will deliberately impale a child on it, making sure all the networks are notified.
