So, I kept hitting redial and suddenly the phone rings and rings. Then Mr. Snerdly picks up and says, please hold. So about a minute later he comes back on and says "what would you like to ask Rush?" So I said that perhaps the president is doing a head fake.

"Head fake?" he asks. I said yes, didn't Rush say the other day that he isn't getting a penny for the wall but he has over $10 billion to spend south of the border? Maybe he has made a deal with the new administration where they'll build the wall on their side and keep the money over what it costs them. It kills two birds with one stone, building the wall and getting Mexico to pay for it. And he avoids the EPA mess, court challenges and Eminent Domain issues.

He asks me my name and location and puts me on hold.

About an hour later Rush is reporting that Ryan was just at the microphone about the wall. Rush goes to the phones and the first caller is Wendy. Snerdly comes back on to tell me that I'm next...

Then he says wait, hold it and I'm back on hold. Rush announces the President texted him that no wall, no signature. Snerdly comes back on to tell me that it looks like my premise is shot, do I have anything else?

Thanks Mr. President, you shot my roughly 2 minutes of fame and I was planning a shoutout to Free Republic. Oh well, still glad you did it anyway. AND if the deal falls through, feel free to use the idea anyway. I've come round to feeling like you are the best president of my lifetime and I loved the gipper.

I was excited, bucket list kinda thing. Oh well, perhaps another time. I once was on but it was for guest host Walter Williams and I fed him a softball pitch question he loved about spending after a natural disaster stimulating the economy. I knew that he’d hit it out of the ball park and he did. :^)

Many years ago, probably 28 or so, I was in my office and listening to Rush. A company sales rep from out of state was in the office. He said his best friend was Rush’s producer.

“Really? Prove it. I need an autographed photo.”

He made a phone call, during the show. A few days later, I got my photo.

IIRC, companies repatriated approximately ONE TRILLION DOLLARS from profits held overseas. Also, there was a one-time tax. Since that is unappropriated by Congress, can’t Treasury designate the funds for the wall? Inquiring minds need to know.

My call was during the Lewinsky Scandal, and Rush was talking about the famous ‘cigar’ incident with Clinton and his ‘bent’ member.

He was saying that as a cigar aficionado, there should be a special cigar named for the occasion, and that it should have a special name.

I phoned in to tell him there already was a ‘Crook’ cigar on the market and there were intentionally made ‘crooked’ cigars as well............

I did have a second idea I wanted to bounce off Rush but as I explained it to Snerdly he said it was too lost in the weeds.

The idea is, since he knows what executive order he is about to sign, just as he signs it and announces it he has someone rush to a favorable (conservative) federal court to file a motion against it. When he wins that will put a stop to the liberals filing in a liberal court. (though we do all know you don't have liberals and conservatives in the judiciary - John Roberts (buffoon).)

RUSH: Okay, folks, this is good. This is interesting. I just got a phone call. Well, I got an instant message. It’s the equivalent of you getting a phone call. That’s how people communicate with me, particularly during the program. It’s impossible to use the phone during the program. Anyway, I just said less than 10 minutes ago in my translation of what’s happened here, “The president told Republicans he’s not going to sign this. It’s not a veto yet, but he’s not gonna sign it until there’s border security in it.”
