HELENA- A man in Helena is claiming to have been shot at after being mistaken for Bigfoot.
Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's Office tells us a man was target practicing in the North Hills when he was forced to take cover after shots were fired in his direction.
Once the bullets stopped flying, the man claims he approached the shooter to try to get an explanation.
"[The shooter] said, 'I was out hunting Bigfoot.' Thought he was Bigfoot, and he said no he wasn't Bigfoot, and then the guy said you should be wearing orange. It seemed like a non-emotional approach to something that's extremely serious, said Leo Dutton, the Lewis and Clark County Sheriff.
Police say the man called in the report the day after the incident. He couldn't remember who he talked to and gave a description of a black Ford F-150 that the man had.
Police checked the area and found no vehicle.
The man didn't want to press charges, and police say they haven't heard about any other leads in this situation.
Bigfoot has guns?
This story makes no sense. Sounds like someone was angry over the target shooting.
"[The shooter] said, 'I was out hunting Bigfoot.'..."
He's in big trouble, hunting Bigfoot out of season.
Why not? He's already taken to wearing plaid shirts.
So the guy was armed and shooting. Then another guy who thinks Bigfoot carries started shooting at him. He actually walks up to the armed individual who has been shooting at him and has a conversation. What’s wrong with this pictute?
Happens to me a lot.
Can someone confirm the whereabouts of Michelle “Big Mike” Soetoro?
A good argument for requiring two yellow vests per automobile.
Did the Bigfoot have a crewcut?
Maybe it was John Tester out thanking the thousands of other Bigfoots that voted for him.
“So, a man spots the rarest creature on the planet, and his first response is to shoot it?........................”
Not an irrational response since the Feds will put restrictions on your land if an endangered species lives there.
Sad, but true...............The State and federal wildlife management bureaucrats are at odds with landowners in Florida because they cannot come onto their land to count panthers.................
How else you gonna stuff Bigfoot and put him in your den unless you shoot him first?
[Never wear white in winter. You might ne mistaken for the Abominable Snowman.]
That’s why you’re not supposed to wear white after Labor Day.
Now, I have to get my rest. Tomorrow being Arbor Day and all.
