I thought it might be nice to share the Christmas wishes of small children this Christmas Holiday. If you care to partake this thread is for such heartwarming sharing of the letters and stories from Freepers children and grandchildren or others they may have heard about.
Her mother, my elder daughter, told her she needed to tell Santa shed been a good girl all year, but Delaney said "I cant tell him that! Ive had a couple of slip ups! Hell know!" From the creative spelling, its pretty obvious Delaneys mom is teaching her to read the way we taught her, by the phonics method. Incidentally, she made her mom buy Christmas stockings for each of the pets, fish included, this year. Here is her Santa letter ("101" on some of the items Im told is "LOL," a toy brand.):
Adorable. Each kitty has his own list.
Our youngest granddaughter, who is 2, proceeded to tell Santa that she wants a peacock for Christmas, much to the dismay of her parents. Luckily, one of the aunties found a stuffed one, so Santa will come through.
You could serve turkey for dinner and tell her it’s a peacock, no?
When Delaneys Mom was two her Christmas list was a fire engine and a lizard. So we got her a 10” plastic hand painted lizard and a pull toy fire engine which made her ecstatic along with other wrapped mom and dad toys and clothes. She still has “Wizard Lizard,” minus its tail, to this day 44 years later. I dont know what became of the fire engine.
My daughter was in Afghanistan (Air Force) a year+ ago. She said one of the highlights was getting letters from school kids. They were posted on a bulletin board so everyone could enjoy what the kids wrote.
OK then, let’s get this out of the way early in the thread:
WHAT, NO APPLE PRODUCTS?
LOL! She already has her own hand-me-down iPad. Shes too young to need an iPhone. . . and she has use of her moms iMac.
