I know people will come to his defense but lets look at the facts. Gowdy talks a good talk but have we actually seen any justice? Benghazi, Clinton, Lynch, Obama and his cronies
Legal analyst and former federal prosecutor Joe diGenova called out Representatives Trey Gowdy and Bob Goodlatte.
Mary Walter talked to diGenova about the effectiveness of Gowdy and Goodlatte and if what they are doing now at the last minute will produce any results.
DiGenova didnt hold back in slamming both representatives.
This is an embarrassment by Gowdy and Goodlatte, to stand up and pound their chest on television claiming theyre going to get to the bottom of this. Both of them, both of them are an embarrassment to the concept of oversight.
To issue a subpoena at this 11th hour? Its 11:59 by the way [a lame duck Congress], its not just the 11th hour, he said. I mean, this is an embarrassment to all Republicans who believe in legitimate oversight.
Trey Gowdy punted on Benghazi, took a dive, said deGenova. Goodlatte, all of a sudden hes Mister Tough Guy. Hes Harvey Milquetoast, for heavens sake.
These people have done severe damage to the concept of oversight, and I can assure that when [Democrats] Elijah Cummings and Jerry Nadler take over, they wont be as stupid as Goodlatte and Gowdy have been, said diGenova. I mean, this is as bad as it gets for Republicans.
He was expecting results from Republicans?

There’s a better chance of winning the Lotto or getting hit by lightening than there is of a Republican doing anything.
We really need a new party. We’re never going to get anywhere with the GOP. It is a total disgrace.
I agree Nunez is to be trusted and I think Jim Jordan
Or are they in collution with the evil doers?
Every time I hear these republican leaders spout off about how mean and tough they are on the Dem traitors I get enraged. WHEN WILL WE SEE THESE TRAITORS GET PROSECUTED and jailed?????? I give up then I think to myself that GOD is still on His Throne and eventually they will pay.

We ARE the STUPID PARTY!! We are SLOW FOOTED and OUT WITTED at every turn!
OMG!! He is a DISAPPOINTING DOOFUS who only cares about a New HAIRSTYLE every day! GOOD RIDDANCE!
Trump brought Joe in but he has a conflict of interest.
. .is this photo pushing politeness too far? We know this woman is as corrupt as any politician on earth has ever been and has probably been involved in 80 or more premature deaths of her friends and associates not to mention God only knows what else.
I asked myself would I have shaken the hand, if proffered, of a Jeffrey Dahmer or El Chapo Guzman, two of Hillarys closest peers in the morals department. The answer is No. But, here’s ole Trey just smiling away and shaking her hand thereby adding to the list of millions who justify/validate her perverse existence on this earth.
spit 2
He jumps in and out of the fray, yapping terribly, showing his teeth, yapping some more, then, when he realizes he's about to get the crap kicked out of him, quickly sidles over and hides behind the nearest bigger object.
I once had respect for him, but he's a bag of hot air, not worth listening to, even if he's giving the weather report.
Put no faith in the piece of do-do.
We would do better to simply ignore him and let him just fade away.
I have decided that Republicans will fight like crazy when they’re just yammering away on tv. They use all of their strength blowing hot air and have nothing left for actually taking action. Somehow they think it gives them bragging rights to say they tried. It’s almost like showing your face on tv and saying the tough things diffuses the whole scandal and enough was done. It serves as an inoculation against any actual legal action.
That was exactly my point. One in the same group of criminals.

Barr clearly, fully, publicly and immediately disclosed the criminality of Comey’s treatment of the Clinton affair. Who do you think, of those on Trump's list or who were otherwise available, has better credentials to serve as his prosecutor?
Credentials that, far and above beyond those used in the courtroom, include a keen sense of politics, such as required for MAGA.

may have been bushies cut a package deal to cooperate on the condition of barr nomination to keep them clean as possible??
Our government operates under the Constitution with three branches empowered with - and limited by - a separation of specific powers held by each of the three branches. One power of the Legislative Branch (Congress) is to investigate matters through hearings, and Congress may even recommend specific criminal charges to the Executive Branch. But Congress does not have the power to indict or to prosecute - a stubborn fact that eludes many of our frustrated FReeper brethren.
Only the Executive Branch (through the Department of Justice, led by the Attorney General and ultimately headed by the President) may bring charges and prosecute them in criminal trials. So if we are frustrated over the lack of criminal indictments to date, we must look straight at President Trump. The president is solely responsible for the conduct of his entire Executive Branch.
Gowdy and Goodlatte have done their jobs well, forcing PUBLIC light on the crimes of Obama, the Clintons, and their cronies on both sides of the aisle. Gowdy and Goodlatte did everything they should and could do, while the president spent two years purging his departments of the Deep State's holdovers and embedded careerists.
The next steps lie exactly where they should, with President Trump and his freshly-drained Executive Department, to fully and faithfully execute the laws. That was not possible until the swamp was drained. President Trump has the ball and now holds all the cards. Pray for his wisdom and protection.
Joe diGenova certainly knows all of this, so we are left to wonder why diGenova is attacking two of the men most responsible for bringing the details of Deep State's criminal conspiracy to light. What role is he playing? Until the pieces of this intricate chessboard fall into place, there is much we will not know. But the timing belongs to President Trump.
In a nutshell
Whitaker calls the shots now.
LOL, I hope you really don’t believe that.
Whitaker at DOJ does to a certain extent as does certain other folks who will not be named. You don’t know how he fits in the new law enforcement structure which is taking over right now. Just kill your way of thinking as it is about to get shipwrecked starting next Thursday.
“Whitaker calls the shots now.”
I don’t think there are any shots.
