Just heard Rush Limbaugh's morning update. He said due to Apple CEO's anti free speech "sermon", his cooperation with Apple is over.
Ummm... *ping*
Indeed. I bought my first Android in 2010. I'm now on my 3rd.
Google has so disgusted me that I decided my next phone will be an iPhone. Now this.
I agree. Rush knows how to play the game even if he’s not crazy about the rules...
“Prav, if his stations cant sell ad time on his show, why would they air it? Limbaugh has stated a commitment to stay on AM/FM radio. That means ad time. Fans who cant/wont do his paywall will put up with the ads. Thats how broadcast radio works.”
The Problem with Rush’s 24/7 site is that he even has ads running during his recorded shows. Shows I like listening to after work.
I don’t know why he doesn’t remove those ads,but I skip every one. It turns a One Hour segment into a 45 minute segment and my time is just as valuable as his.
Buy your stuff used and 2nd hand. There is plenty of good product out there that doesnt require putting a dime in the pockets of these people.
If you cant find it, then you dont really need it.
I like my Android device mainly because I can add memory to it and/or change the battery in about one minute or less. I realize not all Android units have these features but no iPhone has either one of them as far as I know.
Bolland Branch sheets are pure garbage.
So he is going off their payroll?
What can one do? The tech industry with very few exceptions is dominated by fascist leftists. Android is Google so there you go.
For years I’ve had a theory that Rush saved Apple. Or at least gave them breathing room so they could bounce back from extinction.
Apple was on the ropes 1989 - 1992 or so. MS was kicking their butts and there was talk of bankruptcy.
Here comes Rush with his audience of 20,000,000, extolling the excellence of Apple computers (long before the ipod or iPhone). He was an enthusiastic, exceedingly happy customer and he let everyone listening know it. Often. In detail.
That kind of relentless, regular free publicity to such a large and loyal audience had a profoundly positive effect on Apple.
Soon, Apple came roaring back under a recently rehired Steve Jobs and they’ve never looked back.
I have a Macbook Air, bought in 2012, still works great, still gets updates, and the only time I have to reboot it is when it updates. Excellent machine. With that, Apple has not been the same after Jobs. Not even close. Can’t stand the poofery of the current company, and the former innovation is gone.
Rarely listen and a few minutes at most when I do.
The infomercial turned me off.
I have had one apple laptop for a while. I never got Mac love. Sold it.
I must disagree. I bought a set a year ago and have slept in them every night since. They are excellent sheets.
Sad that Apple was the one that used an anti Big Brother commercial in the 1980’s only to become Big Brother.
I guess hes found a way around the FCC limit on ads and another way to add MORE millions to a bank account which already has to have more money in it than any human being could spend in a lifetime. Why do this to your listeners, Rush?
Bingo. THATS exactly the harm the endless infomercials do. Because he sounds so sincere on his five minute plugs for $500 sheets or whatever other crap people pay him money to sell for them, you have to wonder how sincere he is about the OTHER things he sounds sincere about.
Hes undercut his own credibility with this crap - and its all out of nothing but pure greed.
What should be the limit of Rushs income?
Does the FCC need to intervene and put a stop to the way he sells advertisement on his own show?
Does listening to Rushs show require the purchase of the products he advertises?
Greed? Can you see inside another mans heart so well you can know his motives or are all capitalists/entrepreneurs greedy?
Might have to bail out of the internet / Wi-Fi like I did cable tv almost 20 years ago.
My dropping cable didn’t put the cable tv people out if business. It certainly hasn’t improved it.
But I feel good knowing I can live without it.
Right on both counts.. You can't trust Google.!
It would be interesting to see how much Rush has been paid in both goods (and services) and cash by Apple over the years.
Seems like everyone has a price and I am disappointed when Rush, or Hannity, or anyone starts shilling about the virtues of Product X. Haven’t listened to Beck for years but felt same way about him.
