The wife of a former high school assistant football coach in Tennessee who pleaded guilty to having sex with a 16-year-old player insists shes no rapist, claiming the illicit trysts were entirely consensual.
Kelsey McCarter, 29, pleaded guilty last year to six counts of statutory rape involving the 16-year-old sophomore player at South-Doyle High, where her husband, Justin McCarter, had worked as the schools assistant football coach. She remains behind bars after agreeing to a three-year prison term, of which she needs to serve 30 percent before being released, according to the Knoxville News Sentinel.
But McCarter now wants a judge to toss out the teens lawsuit, which claims McCarter repeatedly molested him after he moved in with her and her husband along with his older brother with permission from their mother in July 2014 as they were having domestic issues with their single mother, court records show. The age of consent in Tennessee is 18.

IDIOT... no self esteem
Become? Geez, this stuff was going on way back in my school days. A male coach was having sex with a 12 year old girl. A female teacher was “turtoring” the HS football team. The priest was getting it on with a teenage girl. Etc. The only difference is, today they’re getting charged and sent to prison.
The article doesn’t say anything about having crossed state lines, which would need to happen for it to be a Mann Act violation.
The frequency of these incidents are much higher than they were just 4 or 5 decades ago. Like school shootings, poor graduation rates and sexual predators working in public schools. These incident occur at a much higher frequency today. This is not even debatable.
Control. It wasn’t about sex.
Rape is rape. Rape is about control. That control manifests itself differently in men and women.
If you hadn’t posted that reference - I would have.
First thing I thought of as I read this.
That was in response to buckeyes hypothetical in his post.

It is not ok to have sex with a 14 year old boy. Make her do all 3 years in jail.
Are there more incidents or are there the same amount of incidents that are being reported more often? In the 1980s there was a huge surge it the rape statistics. Was there a massive rape epidemic? No, societal views on rape changed. That in turn led to changes in the laws and how rape was reported to state and federal authorities. Which in turn skewed the rape statistics. It could be that perceptions about these female-male juvenile sexual assaults are shifting, causing other changes in reporting and laws. It could very well be that these types of assaults are increasing. Or it could be a short term statistical artifact. I think it’s too soon to say.

Tell me, why would they be reported more today than opposed to the 50s, 60s? If a teacher was found guilty of banging kids in jr. high or school or high school back then, are you suggesting just because the Internet didn’t exist, it would not have been reported or news worthy?
It does seem that the reason a lot of these ladies get caught is some sort of indiscreet post or picture on social media by the victim or the abuser. So, indirectly the internet may play a role.

Because she knows that a four-teen year old is a virgin.
She knows that it is all new to a four-teen year old.
She knows that a four-teen year old will do what ever she wants without question or criticism.
And your answer to #51 is what?
It probably would’ve been reported, but certainly not far and wide like the internet tends to make things. It would be a story of local or regional coverage. People the next town over may hear about it, but without the internet they won’t be discussing it over breakfast in kuala Lumpur. Plus they had something back in the day that tended to limit the spread of stories such as this: shame and embarrasment. Both are a lot thinner on the ground nowadays.

He was “tearing the roof off the sucka’”
No, they are much more reported today. Those incidences I posted of were from a tiny little school with a couple dozen students per class.
Add to that a principal’s wife wanting to have a baby with a high schooler.
The 14 y/o was living in the house? Gee, now how would this woman ever have a chance to straddle the teen? This husband needs a check up from the neck up.
The boy didn’t even have to mow her lawn. Or, did he?
That was my point. Did you recall some decades ago your local news covering all these daily/weekly stories about drive by shootings, public school teacher sexual predators, mass school shooting etc? I never saw this frequency of these crime decades ago, even in big city "Local" newspapers. In fact, these crimes nowadays are so crazy, these types of stories back then would have gone *far* beyond local reporting.
