The very symbol of the traditional Christmas we all know and love may be up for a 'gender neutral' rebrand; yes, we are talking about Father Christmas.
Unfortunately, for western traditions like Christmas, the emergence of terms like 'gender-fluidity' have fallen neatly into ‘threatening’ category, and as a result, we could now see Father Christmas being renamed to ‘Person Christmas.'

That has to be British idiots - the Brits use ‘Father Christmas’ while we use Santa Claus or Old Saint Nick.
Really sad that Christmas was once the celebration of the birth of Christ. It is now just one big commercial for buying stuff.
Easter is now primarily for hiding chocolate eggs. Our children are being robbed of our Christian roots.

When me and my family lived in Sydney, Australia for six months back in 1984-85, our time there included Christmas. A young man there organized “Santabusters” (inspired by the name of the blockbuster movie, I guess) as he believed that Father Christmas and basically the entire Christmas celebration was an out of date British thing that really did not represent Australia or Australians. With this, he and other like minded young men would go into shopping malls in and around the Sydney locale and approach the areas where Father Christmas (Santa Claus) was there to greet young children and they would tell these young children waiting in line that there was no such thing as Father Christmas and the above mentioned ideas as well.
One can easily imagine the number of children who were made quite upset (to the point of tears) over being told these things and the parents made very angry with this young man and his disruptive antics and this is how it got attention in the news media there. Really was one of my first introductions (at the age of fourteen) to how very political correctness is and how (as per another Freeper) that people like that young man and his friends behind “Santabusters” love humanity but hate people.
Meant to say “how very nasty political correctness is”, pardon typo.
This is the perversion of social media. Some nut-job in his basement can pick up a trending leftist slogan, apply it to anything and immediately become a “crowd.”
The Japanese call Santa Claus or Father Christmas “The Annual Gift Man.” So, we could just change this to the Annual Gift Person, and leave Christ out it entirely, commercially and “progressively” speaking.
Christians then could celebrate Christ-Mass in peace.
Tell them to stuff it.
