Vanity - I can't help thinking that POTUS, Trump is happy that the GOP lost the House.

Posted on 11/30/2018 9:26:35 AM PST by JLAGRAYFOX

Trump fought like "Hell" to keep the Senate and gain Senate seats, which he did. Knowing that Trump is a raging street fighter on all issues the "he" loves & pursues with super vigor, he put little pressure on Paul Ryan, who just stood by and let the House slip from GOP hands.

Now...I am thinking, "Did Trump want to give the House to the "Nutcase" Democrats and let them weave their own patterns of self-destruction leading into the 2020 POTUS, campaign. I think so. We shall see as time rolls by. The Democrats have no leaders, they have no issue agendas, they just have hate for each other and non-stop hate for POTUS, Trump. There could "338" Democrat candidates running for POTUS...ain't that just grand? Harris, Booker, Biden, Warren, Sanders, Clinton, and more then 100 other Democrat, POTUS wannabees who can't cut the mustard in POTUS land,....are living in La-La-Land!!!

Trump looks and sees he owns the Senate, he owns the Judiciary, he owns the Executive branch of the Federal Government, Mueller is making a blooming fool of himself and about 90% of American voters could less what Mueller & Company does or does not do, one way or the other.

The House stands alone, it can do nothing without Senate approval. Investigations of Trump are a silly waste of time...the American people want real hard, legislative action. I think Trump is comfortable, just where he is at the moment!!! That Trump is one smart dude or, maybe he is just not an ordinary run-of-the mill Washington Swamp Dweller, Politician. We shall see, as the future unfolds!!!

One thing, however is certain as the Sun Rising tomorrow morning...."There was no Blue Wave", because owning the House of Representatives alone politically, is useless politics!!! Good Luck, Ms. Nancy Pelosi

The President understood that Ryan was undermining the House race. There were 45 anti-Trump Republican incumbants that “took the money and ran”, which took a tremendous potential to keep the House, away.

He understood that the best place he could maintain his position in the OODA Loop was to grow the Senate, which he did. The establishment was able to insert their designated loser in Arizona.

Now, with 53-47 in the Senate, and Buzy Ginsburg with one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel, and the Turtle becoming adicted to winning, he can clean up the judiciary over the next two years while the RATS in the house self-destruct.

All planning for 2020!

I agree...the results of his policies should have saved the house but people are ungrateful. He had to focus his efforts on the Senate because of logistics and the importance of the judges. He chose his battle and won.

But I too am appalled that we lost the house...lots of stupidity and successful cheating out there that is very worrisome.

Why would Trump who is a winner want to lose? That kind of thinking is pre-Trump political thought. The Republicans who bailed where obstructionists, he got rid of Ryan and could have worked well with McCarthy because The Freedom Caucus would be looking over his shoulder.

I disagree. Trump is not happy about losing the House.

Maybe he saw the house was lost due to their dem lite and anti-trump agenda. No Ocare repeal, no wall funding, continuation of stupid spending on the likes of planned dead babyhood.

While I agree that the house Ds will overplay their hand, the fact remains that they will bury the administration in investigations, hearings, document production, etc. for two years. Trump can’t be looking forward to that, and as for McCarthy, he’s weak, but no R minority leader would be able to get anything done in the house for two years. The Ds will block everything. I agree with the loyalty part. McCarthy needs to show absolute loyalty to Trump, even if he can’t get anything done, but I think he’s too squishy to have that degree of loyalty. I hope I’m wrong.

Politics, well played, accepts reality and moves to accomplish basic goals. Trump plays the long game. He does not shoot blindly or waste his ammunition.
It makes perfect sense for Trump to lose control of the House, particularly since House leadership has not been on his team. He may now demonstrate the utter incompetence of the Democrats and win back the House in 2000 with a cadre of Trumpians ready to do battle.

Not good for the government when branches are not in balance but the House is totally a worthless entity irregardless who controls it.

It’s possible Trump did see it as you said. The House was lost, at least on paper using the math, so put more eggs into the Senate basket where it’s more critical and a much better chance of not only holding it but also increase the numbers to the R side so the hardcore leftists like Murkowski, Romney, and Collins to a degree can be offset so they can’t hold the senate and Trump hostage like Flake, Corker, and McCain did. -Spit- and Good riddance.

I think James woods tweet summed it up well. Trump is better off without Ryan a “friend” that made him look bad than an enemy Pelosi that makes him look good.

Because in today's political climate it is very very difficult to remain a good person and excel at national politics. Good people with solid conservative philosophies just say no.

Also the Left is determined to make life Hell for anyone who dares oppose them, see Kavanaugh for an example.

If there is legislative gridlock because the Dems control the House, then no legislation will move, and Trump will be justified in using executive actions to accomplish what needs doing. Also, he has he Senate and can therefore continue to put conservative judges on the bench, including to vacancies to the USSCT. Brilliant!

I am sure you understand that your theory is exactly what the GOP Establishment has been preaching for years: failure and defeat really are victories. Black is white. Up is down. It is the opposite mindset of trump.

I’d say most of them were due to vote fraud.

I agree with the gist of your thinking here.

It seems likely they were being set up regarding election fraud.

Voters DO NOT split tickets like what was perpetrated in Maricopa County.

Your theory doesn’t apply in cases where Trump outwitting his enemies.

As predicted during the 2016 election, the GOP will fall in line. The dems will simply fall.

There is a ton of pro-amnesty, open border Republican scum in the senate. Trump has to be careful that the House RATS don’t craft an immigration bill that a bunch of these Kock Brother, Chamber of Commerce owned R’s vote with the Democrats for in the senate.

The R senate can block a whole lot of the RAT crapola from the House, then again some very liberal R’s can be bought by the RATS. Trump needs to use amnesty and the wall and a new slew of White House advisors and beat the RATS brains out. Just build a case for law and order and present it daily, the country gets that.
