FULL TITLE: Dick's Sporting Goods considers removing hunting supplies from stores because of a decline in sales since they banned selling guns to anyone under 21 and stopped stocking assault rifles
Dick's Sporting Goods is considering taking hunting supplies off its shelves in more of its 732 stores across the US, in light of declining sales in the sector.
Dick's, which operates Dick's Sporting Goods, Field & Stream and Golf Galaxy stores, announced a planned test-run in August, announcing it would pull the products from 10 of its stores where the sales of the gear had performed the poorest.
'We'll have to wait and see how the 10-store test does,' CEO Edward Stack said during an earnings call on Wednesday, according to CBS.
Dick's is 'looking at a number of stores where the hunt category significantly underperforms,' Stack noted, adding that additional adjustments would be based on what's 'a smart thing to do from a business standpoint.'
The sporting goods chain removed assault-style weapons from all of its stores across 47 states in February.
The Pennsylvania-based retailer made the decision following the school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida that left 17 killed and 15 injured in a brutal attack by a former student with an AR-15 rifle on Valentine's Day.

Male cheerleading outfits for the faggots over at the NFL ?
If they werent dicks at Dicks, and promoted the wares, they minght, might see increased traffic.
I dont shop there.
They’re welcome to clean the shelves cause I ain’t buying!
Dicks can die, as far as I’m concerned. They’ve pulled two anti-gun stunts; that’s two too many.
“They chased away the gun owning market.”
Since the average modern sporting rifle runs $500 or more, they also ran off some of their highest profit sales, not to mention the follow on purchases of ammo, reloading supplies and equipment, hunting clothes and equipment, etc.
Then there’s a bit of history the fools forgot: the fate of Smith & Wesson when its British owners agreed to a Clintonoid settlement that would have led to massive back door gun control. S & W suffered a massive boycott that drove it into bankruptcy. May Dick’s suffer the same massively deserved fate.
They were stocking assault rifles???
Who knew?
I doubt they even know what that term means.
next step after pulling hunting supplies, will be to pull supplies for all other sports ...
Dicks is a major seller of anti-NRA Yeti
I was in a Dick’s recently. Its now just a place to buy football jerseys and yoga pants.
“The would have to change the name to No Dicks or Chopped off Dicks”
oh, come on ... “Dickless” is the only feasible choice ...
Stack noted, adding that additional adjustments would be based on what’s ‘a smart thing to do from a business standpoint.
Lol why start now???
Im not a hunter, but I support the 2A. Havent bought a damn thing from Dicks since they took the anti 2A side. My family probably spent 2k a year on clothes, baseball equipment, gift cards. No more
If a chain store chooses to choose to be anti-2A, they might have well have energized a force field around their stores. I can so very easily go elsewhere, and support those with whom I have common interests and values.
Dicks could give away free stuff and I would not take part.
.
They can switch to the name of the small chain that they bought here in SoCal 10 years ago: “Chicks Sporting Goods”
Dicks and proud of it.
I hit Dick’s the other day...tried on a couple pair of ski parts. Found the pair I wanted...
....and ordered it on Amazon.
Dick’s Yoga Mats and Trapeeze Supplies?
That pretty much sums up the liberal viewpoint. They would rather live enslaved than die free.
Time for a word from one of our Founders:
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.
