I saw that. The deal is to make their countries better so people won’t want to leave. Of course this will take money. They want the U.S. to sign off on each country paying for this based on their GDP. So that means we would be giving money to these countries with the promise they will clean their act up. Haven’t we seen this movie before?

Iirc it was one of the arguments for moving some of our industries to their countries. (Gave them jobs and raised their economy.). Kept them from coming here looking for work. How’d that work out for us?

That article also says the 63 percent grows to 70 percent for those here 10 years or longer.

That is really disturbing, meaning they aren’t assimilating or becoming self reliant. They aren’t moving up or contributing, but instead, they become more of a burden on the taxpayers the longer they are here.

I have a few liberal friends. Sometimes it’s good to share differing views and agree to disagree. You’re right, she must not have been a true friend if she stops the friendship over differences in beliefs or opinions. There is hope she may still come around, as she sees events unfold.
