Best thing that could happen to that school. Bravo! This is what is meant to happen. Chicken pox is fine at elementary age, protective against many worse outcomes, gone in a week or so. Good for them. Hope it happens at my school. It’s a normal childhood illness.
This is the worst vaccine around in terms of efficacy and last. I had two sons get the chicken pox from the same outbreak. One had been vaccinated and the other not. The unvaccinated child had normal chicken pox. Outbreak all over the body as the virus is healed through the skin exits. Uncomfortable couple of days. Then he was playing and happy while we kept him home for a week until his pox disappeared.
The vaccinated child was about 10, got very few pox on his trunk, maybe 7, but was very ill and didn’t get out of bed for a week. He was much sicker. And those who get vaccinated but don’t get chicken pox (maybe they were not exposed), have a huge risk of the vaccine’s efficacy dying right when they are busy young adults, and don’t even think about going to get vaccine boosters, and they then are threatened with a much more severe case.
I am thankful for vaccines, even if it means that more and more ignorant people now live long enough to complain about the dangers of vaccines.
That is the problem. My son got chicken pox, a much worse case, too, about 4 years after the vaccine. It doesn’t work for long. They tell parents to make sure their teens get boosters for this horribly ineffective vaccine. Ok. But once the kid leaves home, what 20-something is going to worry about getting continued boosters?
And then you have all the risks of chicken pox in adulthood.
Yep, they might as well be real and title it, Southern, Christian, Vaccine Deniers use their Children to Deliver Death (and possibly shingles in old age)

When I was a kid everybody got it and it was viewed as no worse than a cold. I’m not sure if these new “terrible effects” are an exaggeration or we just never heard of anyone having bad effects from it.
That was the chicken pox. One of my brothers broke out and my mom had the rest of us practically sleeping with him to ensure we got it as quickly as possible.
Still too new.
It’s another scam by the pharmaceutical companies that make them. Think about it. Make a vaccine that few people want and then get a law passed forcing people to get it and make billions for a few million in “donations” to key campaigns.
Yep - when I was a kid and someone got them, the Moms would hold a party to expose all the kids to it to get it done and over with...
The number of vaccines given to children has become ridiculous. Is there any one who thinks that injecting mercury into kids has no bad effects?
Given that the flu shot is so ridiculously ineffective, I am told by many medical personnel, that the only reason they take it is that they are forced to.
Given that HHS has not been monitoring for safety as required by law, Pharma is protected from lawsuits and has no incentive for 100% safety, I would not permit my kids to have anything that wasn’t required for school.
And I would avoid giving so many until the child is older. And not so many at once. JMHO
The Chickenpox vaccine doesn’t contain mercury.
Not talking about just chicken pox vaccine.
I will look at that link later to refresh my memory, but I don’t trust anything that the CDC has to say on the subject, and I don’t trust studies that were conducted by the makers of things, nor studies that are conducted by organizations that have ties to the makers of stuff.
I have spent a great deal of time researching and looking at data. That has made me skeptical. Truth rarely comes out with respect to such things until 50 years down the road.
The CDC has saved a lot of lives in Africa from ebola.
That’s wonderful. It has nothing to do with the safety of my grand kids here with respect to vaccines.
I think that there are too many vaccines being pushed at too early and age, and too many at a time. So for me, I just would not do the ones I didn’t have to. YMMV
So for you and yours, take all the shots you want. I don’t and won’t. End of discussion. Just agree to disagree, and drop it.
He should have attended the Federal Convention.
Only vaccinate the one’s you won’t cry over when they are dead or permanently damaged. Vaccine injury is real and the fact that it is covered up and hidden should tell us all that there’s a problem.
