An American tourist was killed by arrows shot by protected tribesmen living in one of the world's most isolated regions tucked in India's Andaman islands, police said Wednesday.
John Chau, 27, had taken a boat ride with local fishermen before venturing alone in a canoe to the remote North Sentinel Island where the indigenous people live cut off completely from the outside world.

The island is restricted access - the indian government doesn't govern it - it is governed by the Sentinelese. They shoot poison tip arrows at anyone who gets close
These are a very rare people -- related to the Aborigines and PNGers as the earliest humans who ventured out of africa
They may LOOK African but their genes are quite different from sub-saharan Africans and completely divergent from the Khoisan (Bushmen) and Pygmy populations (who themselves differ from Bantu speakers genes)

It is also known why, and if you had bothered to consider the details of this article you might have gotten a clue. They moved his body only from a distance, dragging it into the see with a noose.
The primary reason they kill outsiders is that they see them as bringing death.
The reason for this perception is (of course) that for the Andaman Islanders outsiders generally are. They have been isolated for so long that their immune systems have never had to deal with diseases that no longer even
stress westerner's bodies enough to produce an unpleasant symptom. The diseases many of us carry can and will kill these people. And if they ignorantly attribute the cause to evil spirits rather than microbes they are still accurate about outsiders bringing death.
