If you wanted to take a little side trip in Texas, I can personally testify that this place is great

Naegelin’s Bakery-Since 1868

Naegelin’s Bakery in New Braunfels is almost 150 years old, being the oldest continuously operating bakery in the state of Texas. The fresh cookies, pastries, pies and cakes from the family-run bakery are of historic proportions and a timeless quality.

“It’s all in the preparation.” The Granzin family still uses recipes developed by the Naegelin family during more than a century of experimentation to get just the right ingredients.
As you walk into the front door of the bakery the sweet smell of baked foods engulfs you like a warm blanket. The glass cases are full of what seems like an almost endless array and rainbow of cookies and pastries.
The bakery is still famous for their strudels that Naegelin perfected years ago. The Granzin’s have added terrific sausage kolaches to the menu of fruit filled ones. A popular favorite is the Lebkuche, a thick, rectangular brown cookie covered with pink frosting. We also make custom cakes for weddings, birthdays, and special occasions.

And since we are there, great German sausage is available in that neck of the woods.

I haven’t been to Death Valley since I was a kid.

Felton has beautiful redwoods and is close to San Francisco.

Hi, CB!

I am down to one coughing spell/day :-)

Hopefully, that will go away, SOON!

I carried cough drops and a bottle of water (and Kleenex) wherever I went.

What do you make of this (fake??) news about Manafort supposedly (according to those usual ‘sources’) meeting w/Assange?

I find it odd that anyone would be able to meet w/him, while he was at the embassy...under such tight security....without pics or other solid evidence. I guess we soon shall see.

I don’t think POTUS would be hitting so hard, at Mulehead, without probable cause/proof of something.

Well if you’re driving up north and then over to the East...please pick up Peabody and me. I’d love to see Maine! I’d take my water color pencils and do some drawings.

I haven’t been to Naegelin’s, in years!

The kids used to love going there, when they were little. Our lake place isn’t far from NB...so we usually make a trip to NB every time we go.

I LOVE the NB town circle all of the time, but especially during Christmas. It has (another) Texas courthouse that lights up so beautifully, for Christmas.

Makes one wonder what all secrets Manaford has and will he tell? Seems like he’s sharing information with Julian....very interesting. Maybe he’s gathering more information and plans to relay it to our President..hmmm

That sounds perfect. I went to New Braunfels for dinner once, when my sister lived in Kerrville.

Oh, and I absolutely have to Gorge myself on good Mexican food. Between you and LG, we can have wonderful meals all the way through Texas to California! What passes here for Mexican food is sorely disappointing. I think I make better Mexican food than the restaurants and it’s really not very good.

It looks like we might need to do a second trip, to the Northeast. I would love to do that one in the fall. I can imagine how spectacular your drawings will be :-)

IMHO the fact that the lying LSM is no longer able to cower a President into doing things or not doing things brings on most of their anger toward the 1st Family.

They have lost their power!!!!!

I agree, meeting with Assange doesn’t sound like an easy or private task.

I know Trump knows what’s going on and is orchestrating/playing the media.

I’m glad you’re down to one coughing spell a day, that has to be a relief.
