Since California now has a super majority in the Assembly/Senate and can and will legislate any tax or thing their little Socialist hearts desire, we are now committed to leaving. We will be part of the exodus from the Socialist Republic of California. It's going to be a historical migration within our Nation, if not already.
Since we are both Conservatives, we won't be bringing any of the Liberal/Socialist ideals with us and would make good neighbors.
I just had a VERY conservative friend move from CA to Prescott, AZ.
“Mississippi?
Its been called California for the poor man.”
Not the west but Gulf Coast is very nice.
Believe it or not, unlike what the movies display, we have mountains in Az. We can go snow skiing every year!
“Western Oregon. Amen to that.”
Like Portland? Are you kidding?
BTW, I used to own part of a nightclub in Reno called, American Bandstand. I use to be up there all the time in in the late 90's.
Yeah, I here housing costs are going up in Reno, but sure we could make it work since we would be downsizing anyway. Thanks for your input.
Prescott is a very nice microclimate! Not too hot... Not too cold. :)
My conservative bona fides can be verified by the owner of this site.
I'll trust you on that. Who can vouch for your reading comprehension?
Settle down.
You could try Killeen. Military town (Ft. Hood). A lot of new housing going in. A manageable drive to Austin and Houston if you need specialized medical care. Right on the edge of the Hill Country. Still solidly red - tipped the election for Congressman John Carter (TX-31) when Williamson County went blue.
“Western Washington.”
Seattle...theres a plan. How about Spokane.
Look at the Dakotas before you make a final decision. Both are conservative and likely to stay that way.
Another Navy Vet.
Twenty years ago I would have said Colorado but since then it has been infested with Californians.
Northern Uruguay.
Thanks for the reply, and yes I’ve done some homework on a few locations. I’ve even contacted a couple out state Realtors. I posted this vanity looking for personal experiences.
Too far, but thank you.
Thank you for the reply, but too far for our family needs.
What about Prescott....somewhere between the hot desert and snowy mountains? It the weather there pretty mild?
Idaho.
It is.
Spent some time there before and after Katrina.
Wow, first time I heard that. Californians are ruining everywhere they go. Being hard core conservatives and Constitution advocates, we would be an addition.
Guess youre left with Idaho or Wyoming
