Stan Lee, the man who co-created Marvel Comics, has died ... Stan's daughter tells TMZ.
We're told an ambulance rushed to Lee's Hollywood Hills home early Monday morning and he was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. We're told that's where he died.
Lee had suffered several illnesses over the last year or so -- he had a bout of pneumonia and vision issues.
Stan started Marvel with Jack Kirby in 1961 with The Fantastic Four. He went on to create Spider-Man, Black Panther, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men, Iron Man and The Avengers.
Stan made cameo appearances in all of the Marvel movies.
Lee had a rocky relationship with Marvel once the company went full-tilt Hollywood. He sued the company in 2002 for royalties he said he was owed for the first "Spider-Man" movie. Three years later he settled the case for $10 million.
Lee is survived by his daughter, J.C. His wife of 69 years, Joan, died in 2017.
J.C. tells TMZ, "My father loved all of his fans. He was the greatest, most decent man."
Lee was 95.
Not silly at all. My experience was the same.
For real this time? Not to be crass, but I can think of at least two other occasions he was reported as dead.

Son loved Stan Lee, we went to a SF Giants game where it just so happened Lee was there to throw out the first pitch, it was fantastic.
Thank you Stan for the great characters and much fun time shared with my kids at your movies.

I heard a rumor that Mr. Lee was working on a new character called the Masked Retardo, who’s sole mission was the fight to untwist his panties. It appears he based the character on a real person.
I've just seen too many people 80-90 yrs old...just die in misery because the MedIC wants the $$............
Let me clarify...If I'm 85 and choking on a New York Strip steak..give me the Heimlich.

I’ll just betcha that the late Mr Lee has already filmed his last cameo, for Avengers 4. We’ll probably see him one more time.

So I’m retarded because I refuse to heap praise on an avowed leftist? It seems to me that libs and conservatives are mirror images of each other. Libs vilify good people while conservatives glorify bad people. Sorry, I refuse to participate. If that makes me the “Masked Retardo” so be it.
