I wish I had just ask my primary care doctor for a physical therapy prescription. I wasted a month for an orthopedic appointment and all they did was misdiagnosed me. Then another month for the second appointment. I had no idea that GP could prescribe therapy and that therapist these days are actually doctorates and can do their own diagnosis. Usually more accurately.

Things all the surgeons want to do is cut anyway. I’ve had three opinions, and the second one talked about surgery in the very first visit. I didn’t trust him at all.

Got Hannity cued to tape at 9. Caught a little of him on the road and he was broadcasting from Cape Girardeau. I didn’t hear anything about if he was going to get to speak at the rally or not.

A lot of the time when I tell people I want to move to the US, the first thing the say is, ‘Oh but you have social health care’ Trust me it sucks... our health service is stretched thin and is only getting worse with increased healt tourism... My more liberal friends would say this is just propaganda, but as one of my conservative friends happens to work in a hospital, he can attest that people are quite open about it.

Speaking of cooking, I stopped at Yoder’s Country Market on the way home. I love that place. I bought a bunch of stuff that I can’t possibly use right now but I have hope that will eventually . I got some spices, herbs de Provence, whole cumin, I got some corn meal since it is surprisingly really hard to find in the South not mixed with baking powder and salt, and some garbanzo beans to make hummus. I found pretzel salt, I love making homemade pretzels. But all I usually have is kosher salt and it’s a bit course. Then I was excited to find diastatic malt powder very very cheap! That is awesome for bread.

Now that I have those things staring at me, I must focus on getting better.

Thanks for the confirmation on your health care. There are a lot of people that defend it and seem to love it so I never know what side of the story we are getting. I do know my uncle in Italy had to wait about 3 months to get knee surgery, and he lived on a 4th floor apartment without an elevator. Sometimes people just like what is “free” because they don’t know the difference. If you’ve never had something that is good you can’t really compare.

My Italian cousins just think it is so sad that we don’t have socialized medicine or free education. Or jobs don’t start off with a month of vacation. But they don’t see the correlation that they are amazed that we get to buy a whole house with acreage if we like. Instead of a tiny apartment. And we get to change jobs and pursue entrepreneurial endeavors if we want. Or that our children don’t have to live at home because they can’t find suitable employment or a place to live that they can afford.

Forgot to mention, it took me three orthopedic surgeons to get the right diagnosis. And three physical therapist to find one that could help me without causing extreme pain. And in a socialized situation, I would be stuck with the very first one. That is scary, given my lack of trust in the medical profession!

They wanted $4.29 just for the sandwich! So I decided to have something else, whatever that might be.
