That’s a very beautiful boat.
A neighbor took me out on his all-original 1940 Chris-Craft this summer. What a gorgeous boat and superb ride!
I used to have one of these when I lived in FL
Just a 22 footer but it had a swing up keel and could be pulled behind a pickup truck and put in at pretty much any boat ramp
Does it compare favorably to the Busted Flush??
Looks a lot like a Herreshoff design.
We’re cutting loose and sailing away in March. Time to go!
I think the inflatable dinghy on the back sort of ruins the look of this one, but otherwise is gorgeous.
beautiful boat.
As a child and young adolescent I spent a lot of time of family boats, mostly cabin cruisers and day sailors, although there was one 38 foot sail boat in the family that I spent some time enjoying.
Looking back over my life, I am shocked that I didn’t incorporate boats into my adult life, living the coastal life here. I guess I thought that was an ended chapter. Sorry that boats were not more, for who can sail, and not smile?
Considered retiring to a boat, ala the Frugal Retiree. But at forty perhaps, now? Impossible.
When I was sailing my 14 ft. Bolger-design “instant boat”, I could imagine I was at the helm of something like your boat.....except I had to go ashore to find a head.
I got to see the America in the Panama Canal. Large sailboats are beautiful.
Didn't live aboard but we got married on it and vacationed often. It was NOT a racing boat, but a reliable deep water cruiser. Teak decks and gorgeous lines.
The first boat we lived aboard was a Hardin 45
Perfect for live aboard. Many fond memories of that one!
We went to the "dark side" and switched after 8 years on the Hardin to a fast trawler custom built in Bradenton, FL called a Ricker 42
Love wooden boats. The interior shots really show off the craftsmanship and warmth of a well crafted wooden boat.
We were fortunate enough to spend a week on the Adriatic Sea sailing on the famous Wooden Yacht Ticonderoga.
At the time it was owned by my B-I-L’s Boss. He had just had the Boat refurbished back to its former glory.
She was and is beautiful inside and out.

May I suggest you buy it and then hold a FREEPER sail party?
Gorgeous boat! I learned to sail about 30 years ago in NE Florida on a couple of Catalina cruising boat in the 36 ft range and smaller C&C race boats. The owner and our crew were consistent winners on the river and offshore. The owner has a room full of sailing trophies from those days... Loved the competition. BTW, my screen name is a reference to those racing days...
Like all fun things the fun sort of went out of racing and eventually we just quit doing it. But Mrs Afterguard and I still enjoy Bareboat sailing in the BVI when we can get there and afford it.
Sailboat Ping! for Travis McGee.
His books, Airborne (1976), Atlantic High (1982) and Racing Through Paradise (1987), captivated me.
And David Hayes, an accomplished sailor and friend.
"Fair Winds and Following Seas" my friends. I miss you and carry many fond memories of the very good times.
