Ultimate classic racer-cruiser yacht for sale (Video of the most beautiful sailboat)
Youtube ^

I used to sail rented boats (I built one as a kid, but it sank on its maiden voyage). Have loved classic (one design) sailboats forever. This is possibly the most beautiful sailboat I have ever seen.

As an aside, my ex-wife's father (one of my favorite people in the world) sailed from childhood. He told me that going to boat shows was almost as good as owning a sailboat. You got all the imagery with none of the expense.

I think that watching a youtube video of a beautiful boat must be almost as good as owning it.

Anyway, here is a video of the Bojar. It is a work of art.

Enjoy.

Thanks for that.

That boat is worth about 3/4 of a million dollars.

Built in 1937...glad she made it through WW II.

When I was sailing my 14 ft. Bolger-design “instant boat”, I could imagine I was at the helm of something like your boat.....except I had to go ashore to find a head.

I got to see the “America” in the Panama Canal. Large sailboats are beautiful.

Herreshoff defined classical sailboat design.

So IMHO you would be more than correct.

This design would be based on Herreshoff.

You have wisely avoided expense and worry. Crew on the sailboats of others to satisfy the craving.

Our first boat was a Roughwater 33

Didn't live aboard but we got married on it and vacationed often. It was NOT a racing boat, but a reliable deep water cruiser. Teak decks and gorgeous lines.

The first boat we lived aboard was a Hardin 45

Perfect for live aboard. Many fond memories of that one!

We went to the "dark side" and switched after 8 years on the Hardin to a fast trawler custom built in Bradenton, FL called a Ricker 42

Love wooden boats. The interior shots really show off the craftsmanship and warmth of a well crafted wooden boat.

We were fortunate enough to spend a week on the Adriatic Sea sailing on the famous Wooden Yacht Ticonderoga.

At the time it was owned by my B-I-L’s Boss. He had just had the Boat refurbished back to its former glory.

She was and is beautiful inside and out.

I’d buy it if it had a helicopter-landing pad...

May I suggest you buy it and then hold a FREEPER sail party?

What are the two happiest days in a boat owner’s life?

><

That’s tricky...lol.

The day he gets it and the day he gets ride of it?

Gorgeous boat! I learned to sail about 30 years ago in NE Florida on a couple of Catalina cruising boat in the 36 ft range and smaller C&C race boats. The owner and our crew were consistent winners on the river and offshore. The owner has a room full of sailing trophies from those days... Loved the competition. BTW, my screen name is a reference to those racing days...

Like all fun things the fun sort of went out of racing and eventually we just quit doing it. But Mrs Afterguard and I still enjoy Bareboat sailing in the BVI when we can get there and afford it.

Never was a racer. If you spill your Bacardi it’s time to shorten sail. My screen name is based on feeling like a fish, “outofsalt” water. My brother said I like salt water because I only just (barely) evolved out of it.

Fair winds and following seas!

There are a whole slew of sailing videos by two brothers who are circumnavigating the planet. Makes me wish I was young again. https://svdelos.com/ The most recent ones are posted first but I’ve been a fan for years. The older ones are way back in their archive list.

LOL!

Hubby was tired of it taking all day to go 50 miles! With sailing, it’s the getting there that is the fun. Stinkpotters, it’s the being there.

When I was a teen, a group of 4 of us (two dads and two sons) sailed a 22-footer from Long Beach to Catalina Island for a weekend getaway. A year or so later, we had two whole families drive it up to Washington and rent a 34-footer and sailed both through the channel islands there. Such wonderful times.
