Ex-GOP lawmaker: I voted for Gillum over DeSantis in Florida
The Hill ^ | 10/31/18 | CHRIS MILLS RODRIGO

Posted on 11/01/2018 10:10:51 AM PDT by Impala64ssa

Former GOP Rep. David Jolly (Fla.) is one of a number of Republicans voting for Democrat Andrew Gillum over GOP candidate Ron DeSantis in the Florida gubernatorial election, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Jolly told the newspaper Republicans he knows are voting for Gillum in defiance of President Trump.

Former Rep. DeSantis has tied himself closely to the president, who has strongly endorsed the candidate.

"I've spoken to Republican voters who under-voted in the 2016 presidential race because they couldn't bring themselves to vote for Hillary Clinton," he said.

"But this go-round, they're bringing themselves to vote for Andrew Gillum. There's a break-it-so-it-can-be-rebuilt element. I also really think it's just a plain rejection of all things Donald Trump and his surrogates."

"I've turned in my ballot. I voted for Andrew Gillum" Jolly continued. "The reason is simple: it's because I've served with Ron DeSantis."

Jolly later clarified to The Hill that he had meant he opposed DeSantis' partisanship during his tenure in Congress.

“He put ideology above governing, intra-party battles ahead of legislative solutions, and his Freedom Caucus club ahead of the people of Florida. I don't see that changing if he is elected Governor,” he told The Hill.

Jolly left the Republican Party and re-registered as having no party affiliation earlier in October.

He explained his and his wife's decision to the Tampa Bay Times as "a personal rejection of partisanship. It's a very comfortable place for us to be."

The Florida gubernatorial race is virtually tied ahead of next week's election, with the most recent poll giving Gillum a 45 percent to 44 percent lead among likely voters.

The RealClearPolitics average has Gillum up 3 points, but has not yet incorporated Wednesday's Suffolk University Poll.

...but NEVER an elected official of any capacity.

There is one case where a dem politician voted Republican...that was Zell Miller, governor of Georgia at the time. In fact, he even spoke at the Republican convention for George W. Bush.

This asshat was one of the first to spread BS about Trump and say that President Trump was not welcome in his District as if he was program director for CNN.

Then he got his ass handed to him in 2016.

Before I even read the thread I figured that the ex-GOP lawmaker was this POS.

True, and his “personal rejection of partisanship” consists of joining forces with the most partisan people he can find.

Mr Jolly has a death wish for his home state. It’s the only possible conclusion.

From the Tampa Bay Times, Feb. 13, 2014.

David Jolly in relationship with a home wrecker, Laura Donahoe

Posted Thursday, February 13, 2014 4:57 am by

.

David Jolly was a previous employer to Laura Donahoe while working on hill. David at the time was married and in the midst of his marriage he started seeing Laura Donahoe. She decided to leave her position as his employee and found work at Integrated Direct Marketing, a marketing company in Reston, VA.

Laura Donahoe, a small town heavy set girl from rural Pennsylvania comes to D.C. Sheds some weight, lands a job on the hill in hopes to become someone big at any expense. Who knows how long she was involved with Jolly during her time on the hill. After she resigned, she continued her relationship with Jolly. During her time at IDM, she started a 4-5 month long affair with her employer there.

Laura knew he was a married man with 3 kids under the age of 7. While dating Jolly she continued to have this affair with her present boss. They traveled on business all over the world, receiving gifts all the while sleeping with both high powered men.

How do I know all of this? I'm the wife of Chad Slater. At the time I found out about the affair, I blamed my husband and quickly met up with Laura within days only to forgive her. Not having any idea who her boyfriend was at the time of the affair. Assuming she was naive and was just fascinated by the idea of being lavished by perks of the affair.

Later I found out they made an agreement that both were just keeping it sexual based on their relationships with their significant others. After doing some research, I realized who she was dating, David Jolly. Coincidently, her old boss who was also going through a divorce.

My husband and I have worked things out. I'm now going through therapy and taking medication to control my anxiety/panic attacks. Laura gave my husband STD. She plays the innocent caring role but is destructive. This is the type of woman David Jolly is dating and has been dating for quite some time. This is a man who's running for congress.

THIS IS A MAN WHO'S RUNNING FOR CONGRESS...

. I'm sure he fits right in lol

“Republicans” like Jolly secretly want to be stars in the D-Party. But since they know they’ll be small fry there, they campaign as an R so they can get the gig, then “reach across the aisle” and vote against their own party to be the D-Party star they always dreamed of being.

ESAD, David Jolly.

If Gillum is elected, I hope Jolly and his family suffer as a result.

Anyone who still doubts that there have been and are ‘fake Republicans’ that have been planted in the ranks haven't been paying enough attention to what has already been uncovered. Remember, Mueller and Comey are supposedly Republicans. If you were trying to permanently alter the political course of a nation, you wouldn't just infiltrate one party. It's common sense, from the perspective of wanting to undermine a nation and turn it in a particular political direction. There truly are many more ‘barbarians at the gate’ than most realize.
