A student writer at The Harvard Crimson recently declared that Harvard has a kindness problem, and that students there need to be nicer and start exhibiting basic manners.
Before coming to Harvard, I assumed training through boarding schools, country clubs, and cotillions would produce well-mannered undergrads, senior Jenna Gray writes at The Crimson.

Liberals are never polite. They are in your face.
“Don’t you know who I am??”
Harvard probably has a low percentage of students who attended “boarding schools, country clubs, and cotillions”
I’ve experienced 1st hand that ivy league students and graduates are absolutely unbearable to be around. It’s unbelievable the situations in which they bring themselves up and start bragging about things from their lives that have nothing to do with anything or anyone around them and they are the most absurd name droppers you have ever met. They actually dropped the names of other ivy league graduates who no one has ever heard of and they consider knowing these people to be the biggest Pat on the back possible. They are truly horses asses.
Intelligence does not compensate for lack of training in the art of civil living. Many of these students are the offspring of broken homes and people too busy to rear children. Nannies feed them and put them to bed because it is their job. They are often the loneliest people in the world.
It’s a campus filled with liberals. What did the snowflake expect??
For one thing they’re severely overrated. Going to Harvard meant something at one time. Then quotas and affirmative action kicked in and lowered the standards at Harvard. Dumbsh*t students there still see themselves of being especially smart and intelligent. That’s no longer true.
of course they are. Filled with those who think they are a special class and so above the common man (or woman):
Small/medium Universities
Small/medium privates are often more than large enough to support a healthy LGB population. This is especially the case when the population is disproportionately large, as it is at Yale (20% of men are bi/gay). Particularly good ones include:
Brown University
Columbia University
Duke University
Emory University
Harvard University
Northwestern University
Stanford University
Tufts University
University of Chicago
Washington University in St. Louis
Yale University
It’s called entitlement.
YOU DON'T SAY.....................
My alma mater is one the list. I am not sure if the proportion was 20% but if it was more of an indictment of how hopeless I was with the coeds.
I went to prep school with many of these types. You describe the really rich kids very well.
Leftarded elitist limousine-liberals. Given everything their entire lives, entitled, spoiled, and angry.
Why wouldn’t they be rude?
A former neighbor of mine - a young anesthesiologist said to me once I went to Harvard - Big Deal! Sarcasm was on full blast.
Leftists in training, my FRiend...
Leftists in training.
Imagine being a "poor kid" trying to work your way through.
The Watter’s World interviews proved Ivy League students have all the intellect of a bucket of mud.
The answer to that is always "Yes I do. A nobody with an inflated ego. Next question."
You can always tell a Harvard man. You just can’t tell him much.
I know a kid from modest income that went to Harvard. He’s arrogant because he’s liberal. He was a smart kid who had a liberal parents and worshiped a liberal teacher. He was taught early to look his nose down on anyone who is not on the left.
