A couple years ago, I switched to one of those mail-order clubs (Harrys) and cut my cost more than half. I believe the Harrys razors are made in Germany but Dollar Shave may have a made in America option.
My first thought as well. I wonder if he had a direct hand in the procurement and decision process.
After all, you have to steal a lot of razors that cost a few cents to make, rather than fewer at a few dollars to make. Or better yet, what is the margin difference between Harry’s and Gillette razors?
Stupid either way.

How are the Harry’s razors? Are they comparable in quality to say Gillettes? I can use one Gillette for several weeks with no problem.
Blades cost pennies each and are good for 3-4 shaves. I'll buy a box of blades foe 15-20 dollars and they last for over 6 months.
Their pricing strategy is weird. The Gillette razors are indeed super expensive. I switched to the disposable ones which cost about $7 for a pack of 15 or so. The quality is pretty good, and each one lasts me for quite a few shaves
I use the dollar shave club razors. Well worth the price. You just buy the handle and they send you blades every month. I suggest people buy the executive series of products.
I switched to using a double-edged safety razor. $10 for 100 blades is fantastic. I don’t miss paying for Gillette cartridges at all and I get a far better shave.
