I hope losing his retirement and some time in the brig was worth it.

But the next day, Chambers called the Postal Service and inquired about the status of the parcels.

Ahhh, the post office sent in their best man.

Dishonorable discharge.

Jail time....military jail time.

Loss of any benefits.

Full restitution.

The Marines need to make an example of all of these losers.

The Gillette razors are ridiculously expensive. I'm surprised the military is even buying them.

A couple years ago, I switched to one of those mail-order clubs (Harrys) and cut my cost more than half. I believe the Harrys razors are made in Germany but Dollar Shave may have a made in America option.

My first thought as well. I wonder if he had a direct hand in the procurement and decision process.

After all, you have to steal a lot of razors that cost a few cents to make, rather than fewer at a few dollars to make. Or better yet, what is the margin difference between Harry’s and Gillette razors?

Stupid either way.

In pretty much every movie about the Army, the guy in charge of the commissary is portrayed as corrupt. I guess this is one case of reality copying the movies.

How are the Harry’s razors? Are they comparable in quality to say Gillettes? I can use one Gillette for several weeks with no problem.

In every Service, the Pork Chops (Supply weenies) typically live much better than anyone else. Doesn’t matter in garrison/at home base/in port or in the field/deployed/at sea, the Supply knotheads get first choice of the best of everything...and usually take it.

Knew a LDO who threw away his career stealing tools from the USS Lexington which was due to be decommissioned. The easy money isn’t so easy once you get caught. I was stationed at a base the had a DRMO, (government surplus/ scrapyard), every 6 months or so , someone was getting arrested for stealing/scamming.

Four years ago I switched to an old school double edge safety razor with old school soap and brush.

Blades cost pennies each and are good for 3-4 shaves. I'll buy a box of blades foe 15-20 dollars and they last for over 6 months.

The Harry's razors will last me two full weeks. I change them out every other Sunday. So a 4-pack will generally last about two months. I could probably stretch them longer if I really wanted to.

BTW, I was changing out the Gillette razors every two weeks as well - just a habit. I do not notice any difference in quality. About the same.
