Knew a LDO who threw away his career stealing tools from the USS Lexington which was due to be decommissioned. The easy money isn’t so easy once you get caught. I was stationed at a base the had a DRMO, (government surplus/ scrapyard), every 6 months or so , someone was getting arrested for stealing/scamming.
I dated a Dutch girl who told me her American father had been booted from the Corps for selling weed. She was pretty casual about it.
