wo years of pent-up bitterness and backbiting about Megyn Kelly have finally come to a head at NBC News.
Her offensive remarks about blackface Halloween costumes have stoked disappointment and resentment within NBC, according to multiple sources at the network. Kelly started her show on Wednesday by apologizing for comments made the previous day. Her audience gave her a standing ovation, but disappointment inside NBC News runs deep and isn't likely to fade anytime soon.

Well, she was discussing wearing it, and asking why that would be so bad, and saying that it was common in her childhood. To which I say, where the hell was she from, because I grew up in the south and I’m quite a bit older than she is, and no one in their right mind would have done that in my world.
I went out as Aunt Jemima, with a burnt-cork blackface, to trick or treat in mid-1940s Chicgo. Our north-side neighborhood had few, if any, black residents. Never had an unpleasant incident. I meant no offense toward blacks. Aunt Jemima was just a character we knew from our pancake mix boxes.
What is a NBC and CNN? Never heard of them. /sarc
lol..what she said was perfectly innocent. But live by being pc then die by being pc.
I suspect that what she meant by black face is that as kids we used to use black facepaint, and our fathers and grandfathers in their time as children on Halloween, used soot to make black beard growth on their faces when outfitting themselves to be bums.
Kinds of homemade Halloween costumes I remember:
Bum Dad’s old clothes
Ghost Old white sheet
Fairy lots of tinfoil
Some kids wore plastic molded masks and sparkle outfits that they bought in a box at the grocery store, usually of whatever characters they liked. The only one I can remember is Micky Mouse.

They are desperate to get rid of her and her expense... She played NBC for a big payday and it never paid out for them.... I agree talking about blackface is hardly a major crime, but there are definitely those at the Peacock who want her gone and will invent any excuse to make it happen.
I can’t help but wonder if NBC TOLD her to ask that question so they’d have grounds to fire her, finally.
