wo years of pent-up bitterness and backbiting about Megyn Kelly have finally come to a head at NBC News.
Her offensive remarks about blackface Halloween costumes have stoked disappointment and resentment within NBC, according to multiple sources at the network. Kelly started her show on Wednesday by apologizing for comments made the previous day. Her audience gave her a standing ovation, but disappointment inside NBC News runs deep and isn't likely to fade anytime soon.

Who is Megyn Kelly?
I’ve never heard of this person.
I think she’s weak and likely looking for them to fire her. I also think she and they set this up, cleared the hour for her. In the clip I watched, she seemed convincing in her ‘why not’ conversation. Problem is they lacked common sense and let this blow up in their faces. Good for them.
Her apology is pathetic. She didn’t don blackface; she was just talking about it. There’s nothing inherently offensive about blackface, but given the history, yeah, it’s probably not advisable. But not unmentionable.

Considering Matt Lauer is making the rounds in the Hamptons and meeting with former Today producers, how are Kelly’s comments about what someone MIGHT wear as a Halloween costume an issue at all? How about how the network systematically coddled sexual predators like Lauer and, yes, Tom Brokaw for decades?

This incident is a good example, of how political correctness gets carried to an extreme. Yes there is a history of blackface, and blackface is not performed anymore. But we get to where we can’t even discuss it.
BTW, apologizing to the Left only sends them into more of a frenzy.
So...I pretty much forgot about Megyn. She was in the bigtime over at Fox News, prime time slot and all, but now she's doing lightweight daytime shows for housewives.
She used to be Bret Baier’s sidekick and comedy relief.
