Her apology is pathetic. She didnt don blackface; she was just talking about it. Theres nothing inherently offensive about blackface, but given the history, yeah, its probably not advisable. But not unmentionable.
This incident is a good example, of how political correctness gets carried to an extreme. Yes there is a history of blackface, and blackface is not performed anymore. But we get to where we can’t even discuss it.
Well, she was discussing wearing it, and asking why that would be so bad, and saying that it was common in her childhood. To which I say, where the hell was she from, because I grew up in the south and I’m quite a bit older than she is, and no one in their right mind would have done that in my world.
