Pres Trump shares East Room stage with Sergeant Major John L Canley, USMC (Ret.), recipient of today's Medal of Honor, for conspicuous valor under fire, coming to the aid of fellow Marines, in 1968 during the Vietnam War.
During the Tet Offensive in Vietnam, Sgt Major Canley "risked his own life to save the lives of those under his command," said Pres Trump, recounting Canley's bravery meriting the Medal of Honor.
"You don't look 80 years old to me," Pres tells Sgt Major Canley, commenting on the fitness of the retired Marine.

Once upon a time in a land far far away, I bought a rail pass good for 18 destinations over 45 days for $860. I made 3 round trip voyages from Illinois to California, via Texas, between March and April, sitting in the cheap seats. I think the total mileage was over 10,000 miles. I failed to take into account a sleeper car, which/although- would have been much more expensive, would have included all meals. DOH! One thing AMTRAK does right- is their meals. Delicious.

I listened to my very 1st political call today instead of hanging up.
It was our dear President and I just couldn’t hang up on him and I wanted to listen to what he had to say.
I’m off to a church meeting now, back in time for FL rally.
