Pres Trump shares East Room stage with Sergeant Major John L Canley, USMC (Ret.), recipient of today's Medal of Honor, for conspicuous valor under fire, coming to the aid of fellow Marines, in 1968 during the Vietnam War.
During the Tet Offensive in Vietnam, Sgt Major Canley "risked his own life to save the lives of those under his command," said Pres Trump, recounting Canley's bravery meriting the Medal of Honor.
"You don't look 80 years old to me," Pres tells Sgt Major Canley, commenting on the fitness of the retired Marine.

Here is a picture of the ferry (and me) taking a boat load of backpackers across the lake to continue their bucket list desire of hiking the big mountains on either the John Muir Trail, [221 miles] or the Pacific Crest Trail [2,652 miles].

Not only are you blessed to work in God’s wonderland, but I can imagine you have opportunities for interesting conversations with a variety of God’s creatures. Store them up and remember the stories. They will bring you pleasure in you golden years.

Did sit down to take a break for a few while unpacking and I got so mad at Stoddard (?) on Brett’s show I almost threw a shoe threw the TV.

27 minutes , tap, tap, tap. Wow, you would have never made it in Virginia. The then candidate Trump scheduled an evening rally in Virginia at the near end of the campaign (it may have been his third rally of the day.)
And he was late ... very late. Thousands of Virginians waited outside, in the November cold, for hours --- on a Sunday night.
The candidate arrived ... a little after midnight. The rally was great!!
This rally is fondly remembered as the "Midnight Special". :)
