Sounds like a lovely feast. I also miss cooking, but it’s because my arms are too bad to do much of anything. I just had some friends drop by and they asked if I was enjoying my big beautiful kitchen. I had to say no, but I look forward to using it again someday.

Thanksgiving dinner will be out in some restaurant. I’ve never done that before and it sounds very sacrilegious. I’ve always bought huge turkeys and invited over anyone that didn’t have a place to go. And it was always fun. And the leftovers were the best! I think that’s what I will miss the most.

I’ll be praying that by Christmas my arms will be good enough the just take my little dog for a hike. I have to be able to pick up 5 pounds and to handle him on the leash. I’m not even close to that yet. I will give up on doing Christmas dinner until next year :-( but I hope you have a spot to create a marvelous and your friends. Even those with crazy food allergies or plans.

The “cargo” on that train is quite impressive.

My guess is that the unit shipping the inventory is likely mobilizing/deploying for duty downrange to one of the sandboxes overseas, or, heading to the NTC at Ft Irwin, CA, for training, prior to deployment.

Examples of mobilized military units heading to the border are engineers, police, medical, aviation, and legal teams, among others. One would likely see light and heavy construction equipment, light wheeled vehicles such as HUMVEES and ambulances, and any other type of vehicle that would aid in constructing temporary camps, on a train conveying said equipment to the border.

Our military will augment the C & BP’s mission in a supporting roll by filling in on any number of logistical duties that are currently being performed by the BP.

Imagine constructing a camp from scratch. Infrastructure such as water, sanitation, power, roads, structures, dining facilities, motor pool, fuel depot, housing, laundry, postal, post/base exchange (commerce), MWR (morale, welfare, recreation), travel, finance, etc., will need to be established or piggybacked onto existing systems.

Our military planners will do their best to use what’s available to them “onsite”, such as BP properties, other local, state and federal sites available, and of course- any military bases located near the border “hot spots”.

The full power of the Department of Defense is available, and much will be used for this mission. Fixed and rotary wing aircraft, drones, blimps, satellites, etc, are some examples- that will work the air defense space on our border. The same can be said for land and water operations.

Enough is enough. An in your face invasion by hordes of illegal aliens, orchestrated by hardcore ENEMY leftist actors and states (Venezuela, George Soros, etc) IS- a clear and present danger to our nation and our way of life. Our intelligence agencies ARE NOT asleep at the wheel, and one can be assured that General Mattis, serving as Secretary of Defense, understands the situation as well as anyone on earth, and more than that, HONORS HIS OATH OF OFFICE, and subsequently, WILL defend against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
