MANCHESTER, N.H. — Actor Alec Baldwin followed up his latest parody portrayal of President Donald Trump with a serious call Sunday night for voters to use the Nov. 6 midterm elections to peacefully "overthrow" the government.
After reprising his role as Trump on "Saturday Night Live," Baldwin flew to New Hampshire, where he was the keynote speaker at the New Hampshire Democratic Party's annual fall fundraising dinner.
"The way we implement change in America is through elections. We change governments here at home in an orderly and formal way," he said. "In that orderly and formal way and lawful way, we need to overthrow the government of the United States under Donald Trump."
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment Sunday night.
Baldwin said on issue after issue, Republicans are destroyers, not builders.

Sort of meaningless words—overthrow via the ballot box. We are doing that already with President Trump’s win; maybe more. Challenge is acting on those wins. Republicans have too often won, then did the opposite the promised. Trump is changing that.
So is Alec Baldwin saying that the results of legitimate elections should be respected, and not resisted with violent protests?

I say that if dems win, we refuse to accept it and throw a two year tantrum. Baldwin would surely consider that the highest form of patriotism.

Somehow the words peacefully and overthrow used in the same sentence seem to be sending mixed messages.

Which incidentally Alec, is precisely what we conservatives did by overthrowing Hillary who was nothing more than the continuation of Obama’s transformed America.
