I second that.
Maybe they should play the updated Prince hit “We’re gonna party like it’s 1984.”
.
As long as he pays the royalties, they can’t stop him.
Trump to prince’s estate:
‘B—w me real slow like.’
To Prince’s estate. Show your true beliefs by redistributing all of his wealth.
I predict Trump will double down. Wonder what the legal aspect is.
Is the estate prepare to write a check refunding the Trump campaign every single dollar they spent for the “license” to use his songs?
Oh wait, no refunds.
tough shiat dipshiat
If he has paid a fee to ASCAP to play what songs he wants that is the way it is. They are making money and their music is out there to find new fans and he just in the past week made it possible for new copyright laws for these idiots. You would think they would be grateful.
As long as he is paying royalties to use it, they have no say.
Ding ding. ding.
The music is in the public domain so to speak. I really do not understand the right to say who can therefore play or not play it.
The Trump campaign pays license fees to use these songs in public venues. The artists gets paid, and then wants the customer to not use the songs? I would call that fraud.
If the Prince Estate does not want the songs to be used that way, they should pony up the money and buy them back from whatever label that has authority to license them out.
Or they can shut up
Another sniveling lib-baby NPC is whining. Shut up sniveling lib baby NPC. You have no standing.
Some people think they have more authority than they really do. “Do you know who I am?!!!”
Up yours, Prince (and formerly-named Prince)! Take your little red corvette to Bumphuck, OH and leave it there.
Now there is a critical issue of the day... :P
What did Rogers Nelson have to say about it?
Oh wait . . .
Um, Prince died in April of 2016. This is his heirs talking.
