New Yorker reporter Jane Mayer suggested in a new interview that she and Ronan Farrow reported on Deborah Ramirez's uncorroborated accusation of misconduct by Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh out of eagerness to show a "pattern" of such behavior.
The veteran journalist told Elle her recollections of the Clarence Thomas hearings, the treatment of Anita Hill by the Senate, and the public informed her judgment regarding Kavanaugh.
"So having watched this before, I knew that key issues would be whether the judge had a pattern of similar behavior, since that helps establish who is telling the truth when there is a standoff, and whether there were credible corroborators on either side," she said. "Knowing this is why Ronan Farrow and I were so alert to the significance of other accusers, such as Deborah Ramirez. Her allegation showed that, if true, yes, there was a pattern of misconduct, and likely another side of the judge."

What you stated is called social evidence. It’s a psychological phenomenon that can be leveraged and manipulated to reinforce or change opinion and beliefs. The Left will use any tool available to achieve its ends.

The”if true” part sounds actionable to me. It comes across as an admission before the fact the story was not true. This is how you win libel cases.

Totally agree. My father had a high school degree and managed to do quite well. And he could out argue any of these so-called “smart folks”. And a long time friend who dropped out of high school is brilliant an has some good inventions to his credit.

The actual real life pattern is criminal defamation by parties like Jane Mayer, who belong in jail.
The success the evildoers had in accusing Roy Moore resulted in their trotting out their accusations against Kavanaugh. They are the ones with the pattern of lying about sexual assault.
Surely, Kavanaugh has some recourse to this outrageous accusation being used as a trial balloon.

This really makes me mad. So now that Swett and Ramirez are frauds, I hope after the election they go after Dr.Fraud and her co-conspirotors. It is not right because she will go on repeating her lies for years through awards, book tours and movies.
