When a problem came along, they whipped it.
Radiohead should be in. “The Bends” is the best album of the 90s.
More Than This is one of my favorite songs.

Maybe they ought to go from annual to every three years
That's ridiculous.
It’s 15+ years past being a ridiculous joke at this point. A good act should be embarrassed to be considered a peer of the complete dog squeeze that is in now in there. Emperor’s new clothes.

You had me at The Tubes.
Although I went through a big Rundgren phase a few years ago.
Still... White Punks on Dope, ‘nuff said.
This is exactly the reason she hasn’t been. Rolling Stone would black ball any troup supporting patriot.
“’Photograph’ is an awesome song.”
I’m kinda partial to “Love Bites” myself. Awesome band- tragic story.
MC5 never had rap vocals like Rage Against the Machine, come on. Not the that the MC5 vocal was greatness. Rage had a great sound and especially rythym section with the bass and drum, the vocal garbage killed it for me. Sorry you have to at least try to sing, it don’t have to be Orbison. Cookie monster vocal is the same thing.
You are sure right about the influence MC5 had on bands. I think Lemmy was like ‘we wanted to be harder than the MC5!” or something.

HAD to go with Def Lep. I can’t even begin to put together a full list of shit-hot songs they’ve done. Billy’s Got A Gun, Let’s Get Rocked, Photograph, Pour Some Sugar On Me, hell, the whole catalogue. Gave Stevie Nicks a vote. Todd Rundgren for the work he’s done on both sides of the sound board, even though he’s an anti-Trump little prick in the mold of Roger Waters. Definitely threw up a click for Kraftwerk, the godfathers of Krautrock. They got Devo beat in the personality quirk department - Kraftwerk live it. And I rounded it out with a vote for MC5. I’m pissed they haven’t even put the likes of Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, hell even Billy Squier as nominees by now. As far as some of the others? LL Cool J? WTF? Chaka Khan? Double WTF? WTF? RATM? I despise Zach de la Cockroach, that poodle-headed little street agitator. The rest? Meh.
He had more of an impact than the rest of the list combined. I’m not a fan of his music much, but his legacy of innovation in guitar technique can’t be denied.
The best album of the 90’s that was also so universally heralded as great by critics maybe. I don’t have a problem with them getting in. That was the great last gasp of popular rock almost, right?
