Full title: Bus driver caught on camera swearing and confronting passengers screaming about how stressful his job is
THIS is the moment a driver stops his bus and begins ranting at passengers – all because he is “having a stressful day”.
Remarkable footage captures the drama unfold on the Las Vegas bus which appears to have been sparked after a comment from one of the passengers.
After the vehicle comes to a halt, the driver comes out of his cab and let’s rip with about his working conditions.
Speaking first to a female passenger, who is trying to calm him down, he yells: “Just get off the bus.
“I’m having a stressful day. This is a stressful job.
“I don’t want to hear any back talk. Let me just vent.”
The commuter tries to calm him down once again, but he continues: “I’m just venting, I’m seven minutes down – I’m sick and tired, I’m going to get written up for it.
“It’s not alright.
“I’m gonna get written up for it, you don’t do my job and don’t know.”

The woman was egging him on by trying to have the last word, instead of just letting him vent.
Very stressful and dangerous depending on the route. However with overtime many of these drivers can pull in over 100K per year. There was a scandal a while back in Milwaukee where a handful of drivers were taking so much overtime they were near the top of the highest paid county officials.
Is a stress pension available? 90% tax free pension-full medical and a gold watch?
Dealing with people can be completely debilitating for an office worker. I can’t even IMAGINE what it’s like for a bus driver.

The woman didn’t know when to shut up. Just leave him alone. I’m sure it is a stressful job driving a bus on narrow streets with idiot drivers all around and druggies and ne’er-do-wells, as he said. She doesn’t know his situation, could be he has a family member in the hospital...shut up, lady!
I think the worst thing in this Brave New World we have going is how some complete strangers you meet in day-to-day life suddenly latch onto you and relay details of their personal lives and you have to listen politely. It kind of amazes me just in my own business life. I think these are the same kind of people who have long, loud cellphone conversations in the booth next to you while you’re just innocently trying to eat your lunch.

Everything is recorded nowadays. Not just on the bus, but by passengers. I didn’t watch it. No such thing as ‘just having a bad day anymore’. The internet is forever.
Yes, just listening to that lady was stressful enough; I quit after a minute. But he probably has great benefits and a pension to help sooth a bad day, and a union that will see to it that he’s not fired.
It's a contract job and he's paid only $12/hr (it's in the longer Youtube video). Many of the larger cities (NY, SF) have outrageous pay and benefits for city bus drivers, but Las Vegas (RTC) contracts these positions out.
I have no problem that bus drivers are well paid. They have to put up with an incredible amount of crap from the lunatics they are carrying.
Some women don’t know when to shut up. Let’s keep screwing with the agitated man. That’s a great idea.
