Wrong, as usual.
Very sarcastic, this guy is deeper than the Japanese Trench, he is making a funny.
Mr. Peterson has not been through anything near what Brett Kavanaugh has. Period. And he has not been called by God to fulfill such a destiny and historic purpose of this scale. So Mr. Peterson has no business telling anyone to ‘step down’ - he should sit down, mind his own business, and get a lesson in humility.
This sort of comment on the part of Mr. Peterson negates his intellectual posturing. I don’t doubt he has been through flack, but the first time I saw footage of him online was as a guest politely treated on Bill Maher’s show.

...and you obviously dont know jack sh*t what Peterson has gone through with the left over the years, not merely a few months. Go back to playing piano with your namesake, fool.
He needs to be very cautious of He and The Family when on Vacation and any other location so theres not a Scalia-ed situation. I put NOTHING past the commiedemonrats / deep staters/ loony lefties.
The sooner the better.
He’s intellectually honest, and has a point of view.
We should give respect to that, rather than automatically condemning and forcing back into the groupthink anyone with a honest and considered opinion or idea.
But I ain’t never gonna forget Andrew “Never-that-Great” Cuomo :- )
Me neither.
"clearing his name" is somewhat ambiguous. Brett Kavanaugh's name IS clear. The trouble is those who will not accept it will continue to pursue their persecution of an innocent man. Rather, I would like to see him "Vindicated". That would require that those responsible be exposed for their treachery.
I can appreciate your word of caution, Fido. Good point.
Just not here. Given the high stakes of this present moment. :)
In Scripture, there are two concepts agnostics (particular those in academia) may have trouble reconciling with. And judging from Mr. Peterson’s comments not only regarding Kavanaugh, but also President Trump...he may fall under the category.
One is known as the ‘shame of the Cross.’ - that those here to do Christ’s will will take on some of his shame and embarassment experienced during his crucifixion. And persecution. But the mission must continue.
The other is ‘fool for Christ’ - the idea that God often uses people the world would classify as ‘foolish’ or beneath them to ascent to high positions and accomplish His purposes. Faith itself is considered the mark of foolishness.
No room for elitism in the Kingdom of God.
You don't know that.
Peterson's upward trajectory has been so meteoric that he is bound to blunder along the way.
I don't think he spent anywhere near as much time on the Kavanaugh hearings as the average Freeper.
Much of his genius comes from the fact that he is a "creative sort" by his own definition (not artistic, just not conventional in that he's always looking for creative solutions). Accordingly, he tosses things out there sometimes that he has to walk back.
Scott Adams, the Dilbert cartoonist and brilliant political and social analyst, ponders the meaning of Peterson's comment:

Why did you post such stupid nonsense?? Who cares what some unknown idiot tweets.
The fact that you do not know of him does not make him unknown
He is very well known.
Who is Jordan Peterson? Why does he say Brett Kavanaugh should step down?
There is this very new thing that just friggin came out called Google. It is amazing.
I like wikipedia. It tells you more. I still do not know why he wants him to step down though.
rePeterson knows a hell of a lot about human behavior and psychology, but he is just getting started with politics.
He also knows that it is better to keep your mouth shut if you aren’t an expert on a subject and don’t have a deep understanding of it. He just slipped up this time.
His good friend Mark Steyn (and others) will enlighten him on the stupidity of this tweet.

In a second tweet, Peterson wrote, Im not certain that is the right move. Its very complex. But he would have his name cleared, and a figure who might be less divisive might be put forward.
He later added, That might decrease residual alienation from the left, and make things less polarized moving forward. Of course, that has to be balanced against handing any victory to the believe all accusers crowd.
I was thinking all this whole trying to plot out a strategy that would be least damaging, on the whole, Peterson continued, and noted that hes not insisting that his way of looking at the situation is the correct way.
And Im not jumping up and down claiming to be correct. Thought is experiment, not reality, he said.
I believed if confirmed then Kavanaugh would be vindicated and could preserve his reputation (I understand the damage that has been done to him. perhaps better than most) but by withdrawing he could effectively deprive his more radical opponents of their [self-righteous] moralism, Peterson explained.
As I said, he concluded, this could be wrong.
