He’s intellectually honest, and has a point of view.
We should give respect to that, rather than automatically condemning and forcing back into the groupthink anyone with a honest and considered opinion or idea.

In Scripture, there are two concepts agnostics (particular those in academia) may have trouble reconciling with. And judging from Mr. Peterson’s comments not only regarding Kavanaugh, but also President Trump...he may fall under the category.
One is known as the ‘shame of the Cross.’ - that those here to do Christ’s will will take on some of his shame and embarassment experienced during his crucifixion. And persecution. But the mission must continue.
The other is ‘fool for Christ’ - the idea that God often uses people the world would classify as ‘foolish’ or beneath them to ascent to high positions and accomplish His purposes. Faith itself is considered the mark of foolishness.
No room for elitism in the Kingdom of God.
