he found himself behind a military veteran at the veterinarians office and noted how the veteran was given a discount because of his service to the nation.
That got Blumenfeld thinking about the word veteran and how its unfortunately tied to the military and nasty military things like wars. Isnt it time to expand the definition of veteran to include those who advocate for change through peace?

Oh, they love to glom onto any term they can to deceive the American people. They think we are stupid.
Academic idiocy, as with general idiocy, abounds each and every day.........
No.
i.e., we need to reward people for domestic terrorism.
Stolen valor. SJWs covet the honor earned by those who put their very lives on the line for high ideals. Not because they would ever do the same, but just because of their petty jealousies. They are driven by jealousy. Heroes are driven by high ideals and awe-inspiring bravery and seflessness. Never the twain shall meet. Not in this life or the next.
Seflessness... arghh!
btt
White Privilege
White Christian Privilege
And now, DD 214 Privilege.
You know, because it was all handed to us on silver platters.
Stick him on the front line in Afghanistan if he wants it sooooo bad.
Didn’t the Obama era have a medal for “Courageous Restraint”?
I’d go along with this if they would allow us to shoot at them a few times.
Now either stand real still or walk this white line back and forth slowly.
Very little is more obscene than a SJW.
This indicates a depraved mental illness that is far beyond redemption.
And anyone who thinks they can compromise or get along with people like this needs to get treatment for their delusions
i’m all for giving them a communist veteran rioter label from Venezuela, BUT only posthumously of course.
Only if we get to shoot at them first.
From Zell Miller’s speech at the 2004 Pubbie convention, an excerpt...
Never in the history of the world has any soldier sacrificed more for the freedom and liberty of total strangers than the American soldier. And, our soldiers don’t just give freedom abroad, they preserve it for us here at home.
For it has been said so truthfully that it is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the soldier, not the agitator, who has given us the freedom to protest.
It is the soldier who salutes the flag, serves beneath the flag, whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives that protester the freedom to abuse and burn that flag.
Oh, you’re a “veteran” of the Social Justice War? I do NOT thank you for your service.
I dont mind them considering themselves veterans, as long as we declare open season. Then the survivors can be veterans of the Globalast enemy and deported.
MEh - nothing new.
I’m old enough to remember when SEA war **protesters** tried to apply for PTSD ‘benefits’. Seems protesting a war is as vile, horrible and dangerous as humping mud in a triple canopy jungle - mines the mantraps and folks shooting at you....
